Delicious! Love it. Probably as reliable as a Micra too.

Cool site, mine's being fitted next Thursday :)

Underwriting rules generally will not change drastically overnight as insurers will always want to retain a stable loss ratio and not alienate entire demographics of people overnight. Mass market insurers will have a very broad target market so large changes in premuim are mostly due to individual changes in circumstances. But yes, Tesco used to be focused on young drivers and then realigned themselves. They wouldn't insure me on a group 7 Saxo VTR! Presumably they aligned their brand according to their store shoppers profile, ie not young high risk drivers. Norwich union are discounting heavily at the moment for their new business so if you fit the NU profile you'll be laughing. Come renewal time, however, you'll be wanting to shop around unless they have a cunning retention strategy up their sleeve. Generally insurance is very cheap at the moment but it can't last for much longer as new aggressive entrants won't be able to sustain the current low premiums. They're just "book building" at the moment.

Elephant are part of Admiral so try Admiral too. All Admiral group companies target younger drivers. Try Bell Direct too as they're part of Admiral. Confused.com is great but doesn't cover any of the RBS insurers (DL, Priv and Churchill) so you'll have to go to those sites independently. ALso try moneysupermarket.com as they're another aggregator like Confused.

Interior looks mint! Althought lots of Rado's seem to be missing the handbrake trim for some reason?
-
Nice looking luxury barge. Bet tyres are a bit steep for that though!

Could it be the valve stem seals which are allowing a lot of oil and vapour into the rocker cover area?

It becomes Hard to do when retaining the rallye/golf intercooler. Its easy when using the modded rs2 ones. It can be done but you would need to get custom made pipework made which would far outway any gains you might see from an extra inlet[/quote:53925] furry muff

16VG60 has done this and also I think woody has done it as well(could be wrong though)

My RCA's are running next to my fuse box with no probs. Perhaps exhaust all your other avenues before you start re-routing cables :) -
I thin kif I got some other rims they'd be 16's. They seem like a good compromise between looks and performance (as long as they're not 9 inches wide).

My car came with 17's with 205/40 tyres and apart from me not liking the look of them, the ride was choppy and it tramlined like crazy. I found a good set of std 15 inch BBS's and haven't looked back. With 195/50 tyres like VW intended, the ride and handling's much better. dazzyvr6: I found that on my last car which had 195/40 R16 and they were uber expensive. I think a 195/45 R16 is much cheaper than it's lower profile counterpart. More choice too. The 40 only comes in Pirelli, Conti and Dunlop SP9000 (great tyre). The 45 has more "budget" tyres.

Me too, the Tyvek one is good

If by this you mean an FSE powerboost valve then they are just a fuel pressure regulator with a fancy name. No point really.

I've got a similar problem. I have high beams (so the colum stalk switch is OK) and I have sidelights. Just no dipped beam. I've swapped the two relays round and it's not that so I got a second hand dash switch on ebay at the weekend. It should arrive soon. If you got he loom off Gavin (H100VW) he should be able to offer you some advice.

Great result!

Headlights that actually switch on?

I think that link may be wrong ;)

See if your front engine mount is loose, that's the first way to eliminate that. If not it could be top mounts or worn inner CV joints. The fact that it pops out of gear suggests excessive engine movement though.
