  1. Check out my time!!! I got beaten by a Suzuki Swift! (It had been stripped out and cam'd though)
  2. Give it a go! It's great fun and sets the pulse racing. Drop your front tyre pressures to about 15psi though :)
  3. Cool. Thought I'd cornered the market there. Better cancel the patent.
  4. mmm, that site is terrible, no prices or anything. They look wicked. Tempting especially as my fogs don't work anyway!!! I wonder if they could be hooked up to a filter and act as a second inlet on a G-Lader charger?
  5. There was a "G120" in one of this months mags (Golf+ or PVW). Looked pretty mental! Could you put a blown V5 into a Corrado talking of crazy engine configurations?
  6. Everyone I know who owns or has owned a Mk 4 has had the window problem!
  7. Do they have a website? Google has failed to turn up anything.
  8. http://www.jprace.co.uk/index.php How much is a rebuild for a G60 box then?
  9. Kicking speaker grills bugs me as well! Also, the slabby front end picks up loads of stone chips. 1-2nd syncro bugs me too, that's a common thing with VW's of that age though.
  10. Wicked, what an achievement. Daily driver?
  11. andy665, Well pleased actually. John warned me about cheap coilies but I just didn't have the ££ for Konigsports. At high speed they can wallow a little bit but that may be a function of it being a bit lower that it was. Overall though I'm happy with them, they're certainly not excessively harsh like lots of cheap coilovers are.
  12. You may find that if the front is down any lower than the "minimum" height setting on the Highsports it will require some camber bolts being purchased. Otherwise, you will run out of adjustment and have to run excessive negative camber. H&R do a pair of bolts that replace the uppermost bolts that attach tthe damper to the hub which will allow further adjustment. They are £40 though. After I got mine I was told that Mk 1 GTi bolts do just as good a job and probably cost much less. Doh! :)
  13. JMR is a kind of sideline business for John. If you leave a message or pm him (16VG60) he will get back to you. Gauranteed :)
  14. There was a C on these at the rolling road day in Surrey I think. I thought they looked really nice. gradeAfailure; you were there weren't you?
  15. Contact John (16VG60) then! Having had lots of work done by him I would imagine you'd get a replacement from Milltek straight away under warranty. They've got very good customer service. Having said that it may depend on who fitted it?
  16. So true, you might as well put a BMW badge on it! You're not kidding anyone! I love the way the Design 90 wheels look on the C though.
  17. Dunno but where are you from in Kent?! :D
  18. I thought that the Corrado had a combination of Passat and Golf suspension designs? Obviously there is a great risk that I'm talking complete rubbish.
  19. When I came to change my rear bushes which were shot to hell after 14 years of service I was advised to go for VAG ones on JMR's recommendation. This was because they deform in such a way that allows the Corrado's rear suspension to do its passive-rear-wheel-steer thing. I believe this contributes to the nice feel and good "handling" characteristics that are associated with the 'Rado. Not long ago I had to replace the front bushes. Hoewever, these bushes were poly items (of unknown make) and had so much slop in them that the mechanic who fitted them went out of their way to tell me how cr@p they were! I'm sure that not all poly bushes are like this but the standard ones I replaced them with feel much better. I think that wheel size and suspension set up makes more difference to handling feel than bushes anyway.
  20. I've got some Highsports. Well pleased :)
  21. In that case, snap 'em up! :)
  22. They're not that good though are they? Also I'd question that "the lower you go the stiffer it becomes". The only way to make a coilover stiffer is by fitting a different spring or adjusting the compression damping. A budget shock like the AK will not have this functionality. "The lower you go the stiffer it should become" would be more accurate. The lower you go the bumpier it becomes would also be accurate if the suspension keeps hitting it's bumpstops.
  23. Welcome to Corrado ownership! Definately do it as a precaution.
  24. John told me about your set up and it sounds v nice. I think the RS2 IC fits easier with an RS2 bumper but it can fit behind the std bumper with a bit of chopping
