  1. There was a 220 gsi turbo in hatchback, though only in limited numbers. I was actually going to see one when I came across my first C (i owned a 216gti at the time) but the group 17 insurance of the rover put me off. I thought the corrado 16v was a group 15 at the time so bought that. 8)
  2. Remove the wheel arch liner? :?
  3. Did you replace the coolant temp sensors Jim pointed out? If there gubbed then the management could be thinking the engines cold all the time hence the overfuelling.
  4. Have a look in the members gallery, most users have there cars in there with plenty of pics and comments. A lot of us even have links to them in our signatures. 8)
  5. Cool, will try again tommorow, was getting dark earlier so I wasnt sure if there was a bolt there.
  6. How do I remove the shelf thing, I got 3 bolts out and the screw at the seatbelt but it feels like theres a bolt hidden behind the strut that I cant get to. Any ideas? I dont need to remove the rear card do I.

    Poly bushes

With regards to the whole passive rear steering thing, this is the way I see it. When you turn into a corner the bushes load up and flex allowing the passive rear steer, fine on standard suspension. If your suspension is uprated then its a bit different. When you turn into a corner with uprated suspension you can be going faster than with standard, again this loads up the bushes but the force on them is going to be greater causing them to flex even more than they should, exagerating the rear steer effect. :? This could of course be bollox, but personally I would go for standard bushes with standard suspension, or if uprating the suspension then I would also go for the uprated bushes. (As I have done.) :-P
  8. I had 215/40-16's on my 16v and never had any clearance problems, was on standard suspension though.

    Poly bushes

ive got the wishbone bushes and rear axle bushes done, definately worthwhile getting them, bit noisier on certain road surfaces but fine 99% of the time.
  10. Anyone know if RockOil is any good? Its just I may have a cheap source... :-P http://www.rockoil.co.uk/
  11. Its a strange one with the electric sunroof switches, my '93 16v had one with a sort of rocker switch, my '95 vr6 has one with all push buttons, yet ive seen a newer than mine, '95 storm with the same switch my 16v had. :?
  12. Simple stuff first, could be your ignition switch as the electrical connections will heat up a bit as well. At about £15 for the bits worth changing anyway as even if its not the problem chances are it will end up faulty soon.
  13. Ive never used them myself, but have heard a lot of bad things about Drivers, mainly to do with there alarm installations though. I dont know anyone that has one of there exausts but I would avoid. Go for the Miltek or Magnex, dont think you will be disapointed with either.
  14. M***EGE, aqua or mystic blue vr leaving the kilbowie roundabout at about 12.00 today heading towards the erskine bridge.
  15. Pity about the bmw badge on the steering wheel though, just noticed that. Anyone know how to modify animated gifs? Whenever I try it I loose the animation. Off topic though so pm please.
  16. Hold off a few weeks and a few people getting Schricks may sell theres. Mines cracked as well unfortunately. :(
  17. Have you had the alignement (proper 4 wheel alignement, not just tracking) checked? If the wheels arent pointing the way they should then bumps seem to have a larger effect on the steering and high speed stability seems worse.
  18. Sorry to hear about your wheels Struan, fact is, it doesnt matter what the damage is, they are damaged and someones responsible.
  19. Forget the engine for now, get a Quaiffe diff. 8)
  20. Roddy, wasnt that switch just on the US cars that had vw aircon? :? Im pretty sure the UK cars with Diavair have the other Normal/Max buttons.
  21. I seem to remember the vw brochure said the Corrado has track correcting rear bearings, so does that mean the passive rear steer isnt even anything to do with the bushes? :? Got Powerflex bushes all round on mine now, on certain road surfaces they are a bit noisier but most of the time its not noticable. Not sure how much of an improvement in handling they made as the old ones were pretty knackered so even new standard ones would have improved it.
