I know someone that had to claim with them, he gave them a phone or email, cant remember but they got back to him about 20 minutes later and gave him the details of there approved repairer, he then arranged with the repairer when the car was going in, got a courtesy car and that was it so they were pretty good. Cant say much for the garage though, but when some problems were found with the car they took it back in and sorted it quick enough.

Ive just added transmission mods to my car on there website to cover the quaife diff and a change of occupation from manager to mechanic, also increased the cars value from £5000 to £6000 I was at least expecting to be charged an admin fee and a slight increase for the diff but there giving me a refund of £5.53. :D :D Only 2 months left on the policy but still, im happy with the lack of increase.

VR6 belt tensioner bearing replacement - how to.
Joe M replied to PhatVR6's topic in Suppliers Forum
Heres another guide for replacing the bearing I just found. Nothing new on whats already been posted but thought id add it anyway. -
The different angles no big deal, I had one on my 16v and the mast only just touched the rear screen with the boot open. Fit a shortened mast and the problem disapeers altogether. 8)

From the vr6golf forum..

Cost him £30 a wheel, havent seen them yet but he says there good and I know they were in a right bad way before the refurb.

So whats the deadline, 17th? Then 3 weeks for delivery I think I read.

So basically it might pink it might not, if it does it definately needs remapped, if it doesn't pink a remap isnt neccesary but would improve things further.
-
pookyvr6, when I asked Star about it im sure he said 1500+vat for the schrick fitted but the remap was 250+vat on top of that so it came in at just over 2000. As for the clearance issue, Jim at Star said its not a big problem, it may rub slightly but dont worry about it. An upgraded front engine mount is a must though.

Fitting doesnt sound too bad... http://www.venommotorsports.com/library ... VGI268.asp
