i now have in my possession a mk4 golf rack, and more importantly a mk5 electric power steering rack. I am going to attempt to fit the electric servo one when I get the chance. Anyone who wants to know what they are like, drive a mk5 golf, or one of the latest audis, they are awesome.

this is no lie, my internet connection bummed out all nightl last night, so I couldnt stick any photos up - honest!!!! Its not my fault! -
I dont see the reasoning behind the obsession with that left track rod. I am with Dr Matt, it doesnt make a any difference at all all whether the left rod is moved or not.

thats just silly talk. just hold on until you can afford to do the bits you want to do. Buying another corrado is ust a step backwards, and you wont be happy. Dont be lured by the 'modern car' feel. I drive a bora as a daily and as soon as the corrado is finished its going the journey - it completely gets on my tits at times. If you want to modernise it and give yourself a nice project, get yourself a climatronic box and fit that.

Every car is going to cost money to maintain. My mate has a 2001 S3, and he has just had to replace a xenon bulb (110 quid), the light level sensor (60 quid) and he also got his cam belt done ( 380 quid) Add on top that the depreciation his car is experiencing per month and all of a sudden your repair bills are not so big. That wont be an issue as of next year for you should you keep the car. HIC are going to do me a classic policy with all mods declared and zero NCD for 490 quid, so it will come down as I build my NCD again. My mate pays 600 quid on his S3. The only hassle is filling in those bloody modification forms!!! For 4K the cars of that sort of age will start having problems just as much as the corrado imo. Your just bored and fancy a change dont you? :)

just fitted the same halfords super brilliance bulbs to my mams vr as the lights are terrible, and guess what - still terrible Guess I am going to have to make up an uprated headlight loom then...
-
hello mate yes thats right, haldex diffs dont work with rallye gearboxes, unless you are intentionally trying to concetina your car :D I fitted an 02m from a seat leon into my mk2 1.8T years back. Its not that difficult in comparison to the other things you are doing. basically lop the mount off the subframe, mock the engine and box in place, then weld it back on, you are looking at somewhere between 1 adn 2 inches back IIRC. I have pictures of mine, send me a mail and I will send them to you.
-
wow how close!?! have you got any rubbing ?
-
the mk4 doesnt have front engine mounts?
-
eh?! how do those work then? glass spokes or something?
