Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive February 06]
Lippy replied to mistrall's topic in General Car Chat
vr6stormer, nice one mate - I was in the pub enjoying a few breskis before I went to the game (sintellins born and bread!) -
local community reps can check speeds in the local area. Happens in my Mums village, however AFAIK there is no legal element which lumps you with a fine/points. You receive a formal letter from the plod. Although I think 3 of them and you may be in more bother.

i could be interested in a bumper swap later this year LOL!

standard valver offset is et35 IIRC

two corrados within an hour driving past the "Cabbage Patch" pub in Twickenham about midday ish. You wouldn't have seen me as I was in the pub! I waved in spirit! Green one, on a private plate (too far away to see anything else) and a blue storm (poss - touch drunk!) Andrew -
this look very cool - well done!

just to book the trend, I wouldn't be in a rush to change the standard (late valver) steering wheel. Not seen one wheel that suits the age of the C so until I do you can't tempt me! Lippy

Boot Light Disconnected-Would this affect alarm ultrasonics?
Lippy replied to Ice White Socks's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
h100vw, hi gav, thanks I have been dead busy recently and haven't had the time or daylight to give it a thorough check over. However, out of interest in this thread I did check the wiring to the boot light - low and behold the little git had disconnected which meant that my alarm kept going off! So, for the moment the alarm is working perfectly (just jinxed it) however if I have any more problems I know where to be looking. Cheers Andrew -
on a bike you subconsciously prepare for it as you are driving. If you are a passenger then you don't have a clue when the driver presses the loud pedal! as my girlfriend keeps telling me off for doing!
-
coolrado, if you don't go with them I may need some emergency rims and 100 quid would be about right... I should know this week if I need them, you got a picture of em Nice one Andrew

is that the same for the 1.8T and the V5? changing the subframes etc, is that as painful as it sounds?
-
rmn, ok springs I can cope with, as long as the shocks are OK! cheers mate Andrew
-
g60griff, whats the issue with adaptors - are they a bit risky or are you OK if you get TUV approved ones. Any recd suppliers? or is ebay first port of call all for research purposes ofcourse! Andrew

Madjackal, thats what I think, but if you dont ask you don't get! incidentially that was also my thinking behind asking for a pay rise!

ok, sorry if this has been asked before but 13 pages is alot to re-read at work I have a valver 2ltr with Koni shocks and a milltek exhaust. both these were listed as valver part #'s with different numbers for equiv vr models. Does this mean that if a 24v "fell" into my engine bay that the suspension, and exhaust (ignoring the other valver parts that would need uprating for now) would be useless? If a 1.8T or V5 also fell in, same question! Cheers Andrew

Help 2.0 16V causing a hole in the head and wallet
Lippy replied to Jonathan1976's topic in Engine Bay
bcstudent, i think it depends on the version of VAG COM but I could be wrong. Vince told me that my Throttle position switch was on the blink when he plugged in VAG COM at the RR day. -

do a search for idle problems mate, loads of threads and poss cures. Also if your a 2ltr valver you should be able to hook up to VAG COM and get some error codes from the ECU. There is a thread with people local to you with access to the software. Think it is in the engine bay section... Welcome to the forum, stick a few pics up if you feel like it! Andrew
