  1. As you've mentioned price etc i'm gonna comment.. The price is probably very fair, but there's much more info i'd need to know if i was interested. 1, better pics. Close up pics of all four wheels and one of the wheels on the car. These are a great wheel on a rado, you photo doesn't show that. 2, tyre make, sizes and actual tread left in mm. 'good' doesnt tell this. 3, what are the wheel widths? staggered fitment or same all round? 4, what are the adaptor specs? widths and make? With all of the above detailed and better pics, I see no reason you wouldn't get, or get close to, your asking price. HTH Baz
  2. okay, i'll go again with pics to demonstrate.. firstly, you've not mentioned the ET of the wheels you are trying to fit so saying you have 25mm spacers is irrelevant. However, as you've mentioned porsche wheels im guessing they're et55. For a 9 to fit on the rear, you need to be at et25-15. that means 30 - 40mm adaptors. 25mm will foul the inner edge. [unless the wheels are et50 or lower] secondly, a 225/35 will rub, even with arches rolled, unless you are at standard ride height. If you are, the wheels will look terrible.. and might still rub. You need to be looking at a 215/35 or ideally 205/40 to tuck the tyres enough that they're not an issue. Here is a 9j ET15 with 205/40 tyres. And here is a 9j ET25 with 205/40 tyres. Both are with arches rolled. Personally, I would fit the 205/40s you have to the rear and buy a pair of 195/40s for the fronts. If these are 7.5j they should be fitted with 30-40mm adaptors for decent fitment. I hope that gives a better idea of what to expect..
  3. the rather frank answer is it depends if you want you car debadged or not  i quite like a black grille/badge combo.. I also like debadged and debadged with eyebrow on the right car. keep the spare and alternate as and when you want to. [shameless plug]If you're looking for a debadged grill i have a brand new one here at £25 posted.[/shamelessplug]
  4. Hmm.. hard to say without seeing the car or seeing pics, I guess its going t come down to how much it'll cost you to get everything sorted. Are you bristol based? I have a friend with a late car for breaking with from memory a decent rear end. You could probably cut away as much as you want for a fairly low cost - otherwise Cazza on here also had one. May end up a bit 'cut n shut' but if it's not structural it'll be more down to quality of workmanship this time round. Alternatively, you could contact this Ebay seller and see if that shell is still available?
  5. I saw the best one yet on facebook yesterday - pizza guy and girls in bikinis.. not suitable for here though! :norty:
  6. I've just been having a look at the calender for Castle Combe this year and they're offering stands with free admission for 12 cars to owners clubs. I'd be going anyway, so if I can get a stand together and get free passes I'm happy to put in the donkey work. The 'I should have organised this sooner part' is there is a competition for free track time if entries are received by Sunday 24th February If there's not huge interest, it's not the end of the world, but could be worth going for if names are in quick. The only fair way to give free passes is first come first serve, with a reserve list. We'd have to arrange meeting at 8-8:30ish to get on the stand by 9am, so please bear this in mind if you want to come. Event info Clubstand info THE LIST! 1.bristolbaron
  7. should defo make a difference on courier. wheels and tyres come in around 20kg, so need to be sent as four boxes. wheels on their own about 20kg for 2 so can be sent as only two boxes = half price shipping! good price, great wheels.. id put them on my mk2 if i had spare funds!
  8. Still available from ARZ @ 270 euros plus post.. doesn't make these a bargain, but not a saving. Clumpy - that set in the G60 were butchered to fit :( it was an early dash, as is yours, so these wouldn't fit anyway.. http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p9755_Oil-Pressure---Voltmeter-Gauge---VW-Corrado--new-style-interior------right-hand-drive-RHD.html
  9. thats madness asking for unsigned for! did you pay by paypal? i'd raise a dispute..
  10. I keep looking at this ad just for the fact there's a set for sale! I went through a phase where I was desperate for a set but I think it was more down to not being able to find any. Pricing is indeed hard, especially with the retrim as someone's really gonna have to either do their interior to match, or trim these to match what they have. Having said that, a new set of CS's are gonna cost you £2k, these retrimmed maybe £250 more.. I know what i'd prefer.

    Wrapping

imo a wrap on a rado is gonna be a terrible idea. any rust bubbles, dents etc will show through for starters so unless your paint just looks flat you're already on the back foot. then take into consideration all the grooves etc that modern cars dont have - ends of roof strips will look bad, same for bumper grooves & fog/indi light inserts. textured sill area will peel away. im not saying dont do it, but whilst from a distance the car may look good [as a cheap respray would] when you're close up it's gonna bug you.

    Bargain?

Amazing! I'll wash your new car and sort out your mrs for you at the same time shall I
  16. You're missing the fact he actually has kids, a wife and a dog and leaving them at home isn't a real world option. For a singleton, the corrado is great. If you need the practicality of a large daily car, then why not have one you can have fun in?
  17. Also factor in the cold weather and winter for corrado doors is a pita. [by the way car door is an anagram of corrado] My doors are fine in warmer weather but bounce as soon as the cold sets in.
  18. very unlikely these days to find something for £100! put out a gumtree wanted ad and see what comes up.
  19. i changed the matrix on mine with the dash in place, only to find once i'd refitted everything that the heater box wasnt working properly so had to take it all apart again. second time around i took the dash out as it's fair easier that way. about the same timescale either way but less likely to break something if you take everything apart.
  20. yep darrens started again as one-zerofour he's not really doing vag stuff, but sure he would still undertake a rebuild. i'd say jmr would be your best bet now.. forum member and rado owner with good rep.
  21. i have a trade account with the bristol branch, but unless you're local by the time postage [and me collecting and posting etc] is factored in the prices really aren't that great. it's not that i wouldn't want to help someone, but for me to spend a couple of hours collecting, paying for, and posting a part out to save someone a few pounds really doesn't seem worthwhile. I'd say use your local dealer for parts gsf/euro can't supply and blag as good a discount as possible!

    ..

    he's coming back!!!!!
  23. to be honest, i've never found this to be the case.. even if it is, most pistonheads members seem to prefer a large selection of cars than 300 lambo's! I took the r32 to the caring with cars meet and had one guy say mine was the car he wanted to see above all others - a massive compliment considering the cars in attendance!
  24. not really  what are the wheel offsets? they're a set of 7.5s all round and you want them to look staggered? how much do you want them to tuck/poke?
