Car Wax?

defo agree with that about removing collinite! its defo not a wax you'd want to use more than a couple of times a year! i've not considered it on alloys, but think you're right. im gonna give my show wheels a coat before fitting them when this bloody rain stops!
2. Mk2 arnt flat at both ends. Will fit but are different shape.
3. Radiator cover? Front splitter?
4. You have no chance selling it on Gumtree. Maybe autotrader, but I think your only possible would be pistonheads. You need a really good ad though. Proper pics, proper description. I can't remember another car selling for 10-12k in the past 5 years...

Car Wax?

I like a bit of collinite 915.
6. Nice.. Are they the ones with gold bolts and dishes that were on edition a while back?
7. personally, if possible id stay somewhere localish the night before. its not a great place to get to from where we are, but defo go a34/a27 rather than through salisbury. the a27 can be packed solid in the morning, so you do want to get there REALLY early. as wendy said, halfway up the hill gives great views and literally trackside.. grandstand is a complete waste of time. the other thing i kicked myself about a couple of years ago audi would let you onto their viewing stand if you had an Audi key. free drinks and snacks too. I actually had an audi at the time but didnt take it! If you can get a spare key from someone i'm sure they'll be doing the same thing again. i had a pizza from the food stall which was great value and really tasty! Id rather pay £6 for food then have another thing to worry about before leaving. if i went again, i wouldnt waste time looking at dealer displays etc, if you wanna see standard new cars do that at home! i'd go half way up for some hill action, then spend some time on the rally stage. both by far the best bits of the day. i'd then check out as many of the supercars/f1's etc as you can get round after. im now going to look at tickets :)
8. I went there a few years back for btcc, awesome track. One of the formula Renaults clipped the back wheel of the car in front on that last chicane and ended up jumping the car. Amazing.. I also got sunburned really bad - it doesn't look like you needed suncream!
9. You need a post count of 200 to view classifieds on edition38. ---------- Post added at 11:26 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:21 AM ---------- Heres the guys phone number, you could ask him to email you the full ad? Taz 07730 656134 Personally I'd buy without the adaptors if you went for them and get your own made up.
10. We've been eyeing up a summerhouse in B&Q for a while priced at £300, but I've been telling the mrs we should hold off until a deal comes up. Last week it went down to £255 and this weekend B&Q are doing 20% off purchases over £100. This takes it under the £250 needed for free delivery so I had an idea! I've been after a new pressure washer for a while and B&Q have a Karcher reduced from £100 to £80.. Of course there's then a further 20% off that too.. After buying some paint for the shed I've come down from £437.92 to a total of £298.33, so essentially have free paint and a free pressure washer. I love Fridays!!!
11. sadly just a whore to a pimped out ride :luvlove:
12. I can imagine there will still be quite a few people turning up on the day!
13. Nope, although I'm now questioning if the campaign had trimmed pillars?
14. Oh dear, great shame for the show. :(
15. yeah i remember him.. fair play, just spent a while looking through those links. does indeed look like he's done very well!
16. Wipers and headlight upgrade are essential upgrades. I'm going to have to give daves tunnel repair and short shift a go now. I have repaired door handles, which are excellent and the polished radiator brackets [one of which is custom due to radiator length] I think passat moonroof qualifies in terms of not having to worry about breaking the original. My favourite free mods are: shortening the aerial, pulling of the end cap, cutting down and putting the cap back on. removing carbon canister. looks much tidier and doesnt cost a penny.
17. Woah! getting your own empire down there!
18. old boy [well, 40s!] going up the M5 north towards junction 13 in an M reg aqua blue on tuesday at 4.30pm. i was in my polo daily rubbernecking!
19. is it just me? pages are taking ages to load.. not having this issue with other sites, just here.. using firefox if that makes any difference?
20. i really want to get my car detailed, but im a bit too scared to put a mop to it myself and dont want to spend £400! i can do everything else, just not confident in mopping :(
21. beauty. i've just submitted the passat i posted on e38. for the benefit of non members, here it is again, in all its c**t like glory.
22. there's two different splines and they're interchangeable with a sleeve from vw.
23. coat hook cover needs lifting and sliding upwards, theres a screw behind the cover to get the pillar trim off. it will be fiddly if its not been off before, but will go eventually!
