  1. yeah seem to remember that from a rolling road day - aston interior? not something i could justify doing at the moment, but would love to see the results..
  2. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/toledo-23-nice-spec-salvage-cat-c/92789165 Just saw this on local Gumtree.. Looks like a real cheap donor for engine and interior conversion! Any ideas how big a job it is to do? I'm guessing it's as hard as a 24v but without as much power benefit.. Would be interesting once done though!
  3. Gliptone is awesome stuff.. Started getting dirt out of a relatively clean looking panel on mine. Long job though, one I'm leaving till the new year!
  4. R yor clips standard or from rare karman interior?
  5. Whats the deal with where you can use this? Back garden? Woods? Post office?
  6. I cant offer too much advice in terms of insurance as i have a trade policy so can add whatever i like, however in terms of buying cheap and cheerful: i've just bought a pug 106 diesel for £120. Its a death trap, but will last me till the new year. If for some reason it doesn't last it's worth £150 in scrap. personally i'd say if you can get a car with mot till say april for £250ish its gotta be worth a punt. If you spend £500 on something which then needs £200 spend on it it probably wont be worth doing. There are still bargains out there despite what everyones saying. if you're on facebook put a message out saying you're looking for a cheap car, also check gumtree.
  7. try using those spacers for now, see whether it makes any difference. really you should be using hubcentric ones so the wheels can rest on the spacers lip.. but 10mm with longer bolts will be fine. i can imagine you're running too low to get away with 205/40s on a 7" width, but ET38 wont be helping for sure.
  8. You need 5 or 10mm spacers. The wheels are wider than standard so using standard offset is bringing them in as well as out. Surprised they're rubbing though, size wise that's not crazy at all
  9. I take it that your fronts are now rubbing? What are the wheel offsets and widths? Really your only option is gonna be spacers, just try to use hub centric ones if poss.
  10. hmm.. was thinking about this the other day. ive got some wheels i need to swap front to back on the new daily and i really cant be assed to do it! could really do with a cordless as most of the time im up at the garage without power.. will add to the list!
  11. i prefer it.. beige plastics are hideous. the black helps break things up. trying to remember who's build thread ive seen it in..
  12. k plate in bristol this afternoon parked up near the vic rooms in clifton - moonlight blue at a guess.
  13. Nah.. Adaptors are the way forward.. Et15 on an 8 is fine. Do it!!
  14. You'd get away with a 20mm adaptor if you needed to.. Go for it!

  16. jim - more a case of i know the people behind the scenes of both work bloody hard, and me storming in with my size tens saying everything needs to change wont help! I have to write and rewrite before i come up with something constructive! defo think its the right time for a merger though!
  17. So difficult to write about this without fear of saying the wrong thing. One of the main benefits of CCGB membership has already been stated as clubstands. The CCGB already use CF for advertising their clubstands. When non CCGB members ask to join the stands being advertised on their forum they're told they have to pay to join. CF receive no payment for clubstand advertising or referrals from joining CF members.. it seems very one sided. Personally I feel any clubstands being offered on CF should be available to CF members free of charge. If these members then decide they want to join the CCGB on the day that could then be an option. The CCGB would also benefit from trying to 'buy into' the forum if possible. The costs incurred from it's own forum could go straight to a members sub forum here if theirs was closed. There could be locked CCGB areas for classifieds, CCGB merchandise, clubstands, sprinter submissions. The main issue when these threads have come up in the past is that Andi has always wanted CF to remain separate. However, with Kip at the helm, It would be great if the two of them could get together for discussions.
  18. Good work.. Cars looking great. Really pleased you've fitted the exhaust from the G - what does it sound like?
