It definitely adds the same if not more value than the £350 it costs to have it done. I'd always recommend having the charger serviced before selling if it hasn't been done recently, as you'll find that people will either just be totally put off buying or they'll want to pay a rock bottom price for the car based on the fact that the charger is a time bomb. It also gives the impression that the car has been looked after and the seller knows what he's got, there's nothing worse than going to look at a G60 for the owner to not even know where the charger is let alone that it should be serviced regularly and treated with kid gloves until the oil warms up etc etc

Do you own, or have any interest in Corrados? :| -
Might be worth giving your location, there are vw specialists all around the country.
-
Anyone know what the font's called then? :dorky:
-
Nice :( Where's it gone? N&G Motors in Splott?
-
Good idea 8) I'm sure that could be arranged.
-
Anyone interested in these? I can have them made up in a few different colours, if there's any interest i'll get them sorted but I could do with knowing what font to use They'd be around £1.50 per sticker Also, for you more grammatically minded people, is the best way to put it 'My other car's a Corrado' or 'My other car is a Corrado' Regards The StickerMan

top gear, Sunday 8pm repeated wednesday 7pm BBC2

Errr, you're comparing a TV show with a magazine, a magazine will never be a replacement for a TV show and shouldn't need to be. And speaking from a personal point of view, im no purist and I certainly wouldn't want straight cut 'serious' car reviews but that doesn't mean that I want to have to endure those 3 stuck up self absorbed bell ends reading from a script and ruining what used to be a decent program by trying to be funny. There was a middle ground for a season or two where the show was entertaining, informative and funny without being cringe worthy but the line got crossed and TG has continued to get more and more up it's own arse as time has gone on, the 'cool wall' for example - who the f**k are they to tell us what's 'cool' and what's not? someone shoot me in the face the day I start letting people like them tell me what car i'll look 'cool' in  As for the group of bum lickers that stand around hanging on every word that comes out of Clarksons mouth, they're also an embarrassment, it's a bit like watching the old Top Of The Pops audience or Jools Holland, a bunch of company car driving A class tosspots stood around in 'smart-casual' clothing, desperately trying to be seen on camera so that they can brag to their workmates that they were amongst 'the chosen ones' Each to their own, and i'm aware that i'm in a minority as per usual, but for me it's a shame as there's plenty of comedy shows to watch but no decent car based programs any more, which TG used to be :( -
It's already stickied at the top of this section mate viewtopic.php?f=17&t=50260

Yeah, I wont believe it untill I see it, but I did laugh at the difference in wages, Clarkson gets £2m while the other two get £350k  -
Errrm, can we stick to the one thread please Mr Monkey  - viewtopic.php?f=20&t=70391 I've moved your first thread into the events section

Yeah it should stay visible at all times.

Dunno if any of you TG lovers have seen this - but I think it could be really good news if they left though I doubt very much that they will! fingers crossed though as it may be a chance for the program to get back to where it was before it turned into some sort of 'three stooges' rip off :camp: -
At least you haven't rushed into the first one you've seen mate! there's SO many dogs around nowadays :( it's a real shame. However i'm sure when you do find the right car it'll be apparent!
-
Dude, you've already got a thread about fitting these wheels here
-
That's the 'beauty' of asking for info on internet forums i'm afraid
-
Yeah easily, I could see over 40mpg from my house into town which is only a 7 mile run, my mates 8v golf is now cheaper to run than my TDI Audi  - it's a really good engine, cheap and easy to maintain too, unlike the 9a 16v which gives equal (or worse) fuel consumption to the G60 and VR6. If you're think of an engine conversion at a later date, the 8v is probably your best bet, allthough really speaking you'd be best off just getting the best example you can find regardless of what engine is in it as gooduns are few and far between. The silver one looks to be OK for £1500 tbh, and its the first time i've seen one in silver, which is an awesome colour for Corrados IMO 8) I'm not sure that rado prices have dropped that much that you'll easily find an M reg with no faults and MOT and Tax for £1500
-
I averaged around 7-10 mpg more from the 2 8vs i've owned than the 16v's i've had. I fully agree that you'll end up hankering after more power though
-
Reading her TDI one is the same, the work gone into the instrument cluster etc, credit where it's due they're fantastic build threads. Shame we haven't got the build threads on here! whatever the reason.
-
Or £1.80 each from VW , while you're there get a few sets and sell the extras on Ebay for £7.99 a pair
-
All donations gratefully received.... Glad you got it sorted without a £500 bill mate 8)

I remember flying to Gatwick to pick up a rado that I had been assured had a 'mint' shell - I had rung the guy up twice just to confirm that the bodywork was mint as that's all I was interested in and he kept assuring me it was, I got off the plane and was picked up by this piece of scum in the car and there wasn't a straight panel on it, the N/S rear quarter was stoved in and it was all just generally tatty. I'd landed myself in a right pickle being in Gatwick with no way of getting back to Cornwall. I still cant believe how much of a liar this guy was, it really made me realise that unfortunately you cant trust anyone anymore - a real shame tbh but i've always liked to think that what goes around comes around, i'm sure he'll get his comeuppance  -
I have, and it works in the end, allthough i've got to look through loads of pants before I find the socks - would be much easier if my wife put them in the correct draw in the first place :camp:
-
Ironic as it may be, when i'm looking for a pair of socks in the morning, I can only usually find them in my pants draw
