  1. i had this problem with mine in the first few months of ownership.......solved it by fiddling about with the sender/float type top of the reservoir.....just took it out and gave it a good clean and moved it up and down a few times........i think some dirt got trapped in it and with doing the above it dislodged whatever was causing it to read falsely
  2. moving this into the "problems" section.....as its not really a servicing topic
  3. moving this into the "inside your interior" section
  4. moving this into inside your interior
  5. this one you mean  btw i take it your storm is mystic blue :?: if it is midnight blue then you aint got a storm i'm afraid to say :(
  6. yes a standard Corrado VR6 is only 181lb/ft or 245nm but if it was modded with a turbo as your 20v turbo is then i believe its going to quite comfortably out-torque you.......even if a VR6 just had the VSR,revised cams and chip(easy 215+lb/ft) it would be putting out more torque than your turbo'd 4cylinder.......remember that your 20v turbo isn't straight out of the box so to compare it with a standard VR6 isn't really a fair comparison......compare it with a turbo'd or VSR'd VR6 and then say the 20v turbo is the better engine
  7. congrats you have the FASTEST 2.0 16v mildly -tweaked if any C   ............seriously tho unless you have the proper timing gear etc i doubt very much you have managed to get those times......also if you go by your speedo you will also find that this either over-reads or under-reads
  8. i have a mate who picked up a complete VR6engine,G/box,PAS and all ECU's + rad for £400............and it had only 80k miles with FVWSH.....ok it was for a Mk3 golf but still rather good
  9. cheers for all the support guys.........and yes on reflection it is very very minor and it could have been a lot worse.........i do just hope it is kids as i would hate to think there is another BBS wheeled car-owner doing this to save him buying them
  10. Exactly - there was a letter printer in the Sprinter from VW to the CCGB about there entitlement to the scheme! I don't know what VW's problem is giving enthusiasts running older classic cars a few quid off certain parts!!! - the amount they must make off other parts and new cars!!!! because the member ID and password is for an individual(Brian Rose) not for the VWCCGB........seemingly e-mail notification has gone out to VW-dealers........ if you don't believe me then please phone VW's press office and they will confirm this also ask your local dealer too as i was told that VW have told the dealers not to give VWpartsclub discount to VWCCGB.........this has only just happened btw so anything in sprinter is obviously out of date........and i'm also sure you will be able to still access it off the internet but for how long i do not know

    MG ZT

the 2.5 V6 comes in two flavours 160bhp and 190bhp both available as MG-ZT's........i once delivered a 160bhp one for Europcar to a customer in a really well-off area of aberdeen......rubislaw den to be precise (for all the granite city contigent)......anyway i was getting ready to give him all the spiel about how its pretty much above average performance for a hire car......for my jaw to drop when i pulled into his drive right next to his Aston Martin DB7 Vantage
  12. well as i've been a bit under the weather lately i haven't been using my C as much as usual........anyway the last time i was using it was on saturday afternoon........came out to the C first thing monday to notice some theivin git has robbed me of my BBS valve covers   ........so to say i was a bit P***** off yesterday morning is a bit of an understatement!!!
  13. yeah well done to JohnJ though hearing about how crap the show was i'm glad i never bothered to go
  14. you'll find that happens sometimes......whether it is people making sure their car is delivered for the new letter etc or if its been a cancelled order that has maybe sat in a showroom unregistered etc......at the end of the day its just a late registered Corrado and would have still been made by JUN/JUL 95 at the very latest other examples are B and C-reg escort RS1600i's......out of production by start of A-plates D-reg series 1 escort RS turbo's.........again out of production by the start of C-plates N-reg Audi ur-quattro 8) 8) 8) well there was a delivery miles un-registered one in 1995 for sale at an Audi garage and various others
  15. well i suppose we can forgive you  ........afterall you must be deafened by the sound of yer turbo all day....LOL
  16. ant mate this is what i am speaking about  VWCCGB still get the 10% discount on parts but as of today VWCCGB DO NOT qualify for the vwpartsclub scheme which is what the user ID and password are for
  17. have a look here http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4776 there should be a pdf file for you to download and btw...........take the caps lock off yer keyboard!!!.....it is rude to shout afterall
  18. wait til you add the costs of the various senders you need too
  19. right after speaking to my local dealer..Specialist-Cars Aberdeen and VW's Press Office down south i found to my horror    that VWCCGB SHOULD NOT and DO NOTqualify for the VWpartsclub scheme!!!!...........seemingly this is down to the fact that the VWpartsclub should really only be available people with "trade" accounts and is not available to any VW owners club etc as they do not have accounts as such.............this is not a wind-up btw.......as i was at first told by my local dealer that VW had sent them an e-mail telling them that VWCCGB members were not to be given the VWpartsclub discount!! so i phoned VW UK asap and had this confirmed by their Press Office
  20. best person to ask is Tony Carter-Inman who is known to frequent the e-group every so often as he traded up to the earlier E-34 M5 from a VSR equiped VR6 IIRC...........though i think the self-leveling suspension on them is meant to cost a fortune to fix
  21. i wish it was in showroom condition  but cheers for the compliment......anyway its needing a bit of a front-end re-spray to get as good as that i'm afraid.......though that should be sorted out by the end of this year along with a Kamei grille spoiler too .............i would love to change the wheels but thats one of the joys of owning a storm you kind of feel you have to keep the solitudes so that ppl know its one from a distance  but then again the solitudes are quite a nice wheel anyway and of course 205/50/15's are a bit cheaper than 16's or 17's i'm still undecided about the rear lights too i must admit but it'll be well at the bottom of my list regardless anyway my next plan after the front-end re-spray is to do the callipers either silver or black which is better than the crummy brownish colour they are now........and then i'll have to maybe bite the bullet and get the driver-seat retrimmed as the re-colouring i had done in the spring isn't holding up too well
  22. although i'm not a 2.0 16v owner i can answer some of your queries........ 1)throttle cables are prone for getting stiff in their old age so i would imagine that your one is getting to the bit old stage now  .........new cable the best cure  2)GPC in luton will be able to supply you with both badges and also the grille........badges are approx £6-£8 ea and the grille is £23 all plus VAT and PnP.....order them all together and they will send them up in one package 3)aint got a clue  4)as above......tho might be the ISV perhaps :? 5)try optimax and see if it makes a noticably difference over 95RON or whatever you have used previous.....tho to get the best idea you'll need to run a few tankfuls of the stuff.... 6)as for oil........you won't go wrong with either synta silver or gold(VW's own brand semi and fully synthetic respectively).........probably the silver is the best to go for
  23. Biggrim picked up(and paid for :thumb right: ) a part(seemingly the ONLY one left in the UK) for me from the VW-dealer in paisley on wednesday last week and had it up by "sister-post" by friday night :thumb right:
  24. storms only had a rear badge and a centre console badge
