  1. darren aka Gman from G-werks will be able to help you out there........you just need some one local or yourself to whip the 'charger off and send it down to him............and i think he's got quite a quick turn-around too.....tho best check with him first

    Stiff pedal

  oooooooooeeeeerrrr   ...............yes thats what its likely to be  ..............think about £30 or under for the cable from your friendly dealer
  3. well considering your age and the insurance grouping a storm is in......thats not too bad
  4. they're both correct.........though if you want to be really picky the official "Storm" brochure shows the VW centre caps fitted......mine had the BBS logo originally but i bought the VW ones this year at inters from GPC's stand  d'oh where's me manners?........welcome to the forum
  5. blimey lanny.....is this you self-moderating these days
  6. Sure is http://www.multimap.com/map/places.cgi? ... &advanced= then again the kincardine i'm speaking about is only an area
  7. so there must be 2 kincardine's in scotland......then again kincardine is really just an area south of stonehaven up near me :?
  8. hmmm not sure tbh........tho i think probably the latter
  9. strangely enough my stormwhich has a 95 build date and is a genuine stormtoo has the same switch as your old 16 valver :? :?
  10. you forgot the bonnet and roof  tho why anyone would have that done to their R32 is way beyond me :? afterall its all too very similar to the matt black bonnet that was a 60/70s Vauxhall or Hillman styling cue on their performance models
  11. Ahhhh! so the 146 as in the quiet plane, suitable for City airports & short runways. It has a faster than normal approach speed & no reverse thrust yet stops very quickly due to its unique wing flaps. And there was me thinking your other car was an Alpha... me too
  12. i take it you mean Kirkcaldy paul..............as the last time i looked kincardine is into my neck of the woods
  13. well tbh it all depends on the way previous owners have treated the car as i've heard of VR's having to get the head gasket fixed after as little as 50k miles and yet others with well over 100k miles still having the original head gasket on
  14. cheeky monkey!!!  i'll move this into the caring and repairing section
  15. ala early MG metro turbo boost guage!!!   keep us posted on this kev might be the new must have subtle mod
  16. what you mean it didn't T-cut out   ............sorry chris shouldn't say that......must be an absolute nightmare for you............but just think how good its going to look when its all done
  17. if your handy with spanners and have a decent set of tools it should be easy enough for you....preferably get a mate to help/assist you.........ess_three on the forum did mine.....while i assisited(well raised and lowered the trolley jack)took us approx 3-4hours but we weren't in any great hurry one thing i would recommend that you have though is a suitable trolley jack.....as your going to be in for quite a lot of raising and lowering the car and having the wheels on and off quite a bit
  18. vr6storm

    fuel pump

pretty sure it won't fit...........as there is a different part number for the G60 one.......though the one Joe M has should fit as it has the same part number for both 16valvers
  19. well going by the fun me and dub16 had trying to get a BBQ going at a previous RR-day we have decided to get Star-Performance to organise one of the local burger vans to be in attendance...........its up to yourselves if you want to take a BBQ along but please bear in mind due to the huge interest in this day and the fact there will be at least 25 cars in attendance that if its raining on the day there isn't really any sort of shelter from the elements etc
  20. vr6storm

    BHP

not an expert or anything like one but would imagine the usual sort of stuff.........though you might also need to upgrade the chip again for some/most of them :? exhaust manifold new cam some headwork x-flow head capacity increase higher flow injectors etc etc best ppl to talk to are darren from G-werks and the likes of bilal too
  21. right guys as its getting nearer to the event........ok ok just over a month away :) :) .......might be an idea for everyone to sort out their travel arrangements down/up to Star-Performance i was thinking of the Aberdeen/northern contingent(maybe even the Elgin lot) meeting up at the Duthie park at approx 8:15am to leave between 8:30am and 8:45am at the latest.......ideally we need to be there for between 10-10:30am......though i might be at Star a bit earlier as i've arranged it afterall  once again i would appreaciate your feedback on this might be an idea  for either biggrim,Joe M or vr6paul to sort out the "southern" contingent travel/meetup arrangements
  22. so how did the G40 RR-day go then????............and you got any pics of it????
  23. i take it you're keeping the same colour too??
  24. pity that whatever saving they'd make with the group buy would be lost with shipping and import costs  .......though i think Milltek is available over the pond :?
  25. hehehehe.....dunno what happened but i deleted the replicated post if you could post both that would be spot-on
