a long shot here  .....but the dials you took off.....did you put them back in the correct order........as they will physically fit but won't operate properly if say you mixed the speed control dial with the direction dial

if you were competent enough i'm sure you could rebuild the VR engine from all the info it gives........it covers things from changing spark plugs to replacing the timing chains
-
thats not too bad really.....assuming its Fully comp and as you say all your mods have been declared......remember where you live is really classed as the city centre and the fact that you can only park on the road doesn't help either and thats before you get to your age........things like the front bumper, lowered suspension, bigger wheels and the performance upgrade all increase your premium........but try every other insurance company and see how they compare

E-36 M3 evo would like one of them too........but apart from the "dealer" side of it......the basic coupe is too easy to turn into a M3 look-a-like quite like biggrim's idea though a nice BMW 850 csi..............just shudder to think how much they would be if things went wrong.....nevermind 5.0litre fuel economy at the moment there's just too much older german stuff thats affordable now.............80's 911's are in the price bracket i had for when i bought my storm and audi S3's are getting cheaper and cheaper too.......seen one up here with 96k miles and only 3yrs old for £12k  even my old favourite the porsche 928 s4 is frequently under the £10k bracket too......and thats for good FPSH ones BMW E-30 M3's are also another favourite of mine

 NOOOOO joe  ...........your streed-cred has gone down in my estimation    Ive liked them for many years, since before they became common. They are 2 cylinders short of an engine though so probably something more like an M5 Nurburgring Edition. 8)[/quote:64fe9] ah but that has 2 too many doors......LOL.........but you're streed cred 8) has jumped up by miles now

remember to mix it in a bucket of water first tho  it does seem to work a bit too........its also meant to bead off if you take the car for a spin straight away and like everyone else here..................yip i've seen me at a deserted jetwash in the pouring rain giving my C a nice rinse.......in fact i hand wash my alloys almost every evening......rain or shine......... but shhhh keep it quiet

well if you don't have much money the best thing to do is just wait til you can afford the coil-overs......otherwise you'll just be spending the money now needlessly
-
It dont mean a thing if your C is bling bling or does it?
vr6storm replied to G60Jet's topic in General Car Chat
difficult one for me nigel...........i was all set for keeping mine standard but a Milltek,AmD chip and a set of koni-coilovers later has got mine to the look i want..........til pau1 did his photo-shop magic and made the list grow -

-
here's an essential and cheap book for the budding DiYer with any VR6 engined vee-dub including our Corrado's........though it only really seems to cover the distributor equpped engines it is an english publication as opposed to a transatlantic version like the famous Robert Bentley manuals http://www.volkswagen-repair-manuals.co.uk/ i forgot all about this book til i was cleaning out my Corrado the other day.......though i haven't used mine in anger yet........it only cost me £6 from VW-books's stall at biggar this year......so well worth it even though its basically a photo-copied(maybe even a ricoh-copy)manual

LOL    I think Rodders has got bitten by the moddin bug... hehe tell me about it......though i would just go for the totally subtle look to mystorm and of course the lights you've so kindly photo-shopped for me and joebloggs69if you can manage to scan in the copy of the magazine article i would appreaciate a copy of it.......though it might be an idea to send it to me personally instead of getting it posted on the forum.......might be a copyright issue  :?
