sorry but as the C-class coupe is based on the C-class saloon,so if anything will be used its going to be the C-class saloon's floorpan,it maybe looks similar if you close your eyes and squint

engine speed sensor will always show when you check it on VAG-com as the car isn't running

pm chubbybrown on the forum paul,IIRC he had a wee problem with his missus's G-plate 16v C a few years back and he replaced a part(that I can't for the life of me remember what it was) and it was all hunky dory

have never liked a single one of their "designs".............there's a few Kahn design Range-Rovers on the go up here and one of them is seemingly always in the local Land-Rover garage due to the Kahn wheels buggering up the running gear...........deffo a case of more money that style/sense

taxi to the kerb sir :-P tho can imagine the replacement cost of a rim if he kerbed it would be a tad high,not to mention the tyre cost(i'm sure you wouldn't want to drive 200mph+ with a kerbed wheel/tyre combo)

when mine went,it was leaking on to the top of the g/box as opposed to being too noisy............it was approx £140 for the part,luckily I still had the used-car warranty in effect when I noticed it,anyway the aux water pumps have come down in price as craigowl sourced one cheaper as he's mentioned above. d'oh should have noticed the dizzy :oops: ...............anyway have you replaced the plug leads recently?,if no,its possibly just co-incidence that they have ended their life just as you are having these coolant problems

aux water pump is making the noise............its possibly leaking,tho i'd imagine it would have shown up during a pressure test,other places to look for leaks are the thermostat housing(on the front of the engine roughly down from the C in DOHC),the missfire could be the coilpack getting wet from a pin-prick leak spraying on to it

about the same as most other 15inch OE wheels.........like others have said they were also found on performance Golf's..........IIRC the mk3 16v was launched with them too

just makes it more desirable to some............tho I'd not pay any extra for it,unless it had recently been overhauled as its just something else to go wrong it was a dealer-fit option of between £1000-£1500 tho
