  1. As above, but also check your lambda wiring. The chip is right for the injectors?
  2. Get a few try it on when I am in the Corrado, the Alfa seems to get respect especially off those in more expensive German cars. Biggest problem I get is in the T5 as everyone expects it to be slow so am often being cut up. The two golf have been off the road so long I can't remember.
  3. By the sounds of things it is not the lambda then.
  4. Still unplug lambda, only two seconds and it will or will not rule it out.
  5. Unplug the lambda sensor and see if this makes any difference.
  6. That would be a good plan for other sensors too, I don't know a great deal about the Ke-Jet system on your car other than VW junked it quickly as it is crap. Going onto diagnostics won't help either as I don't think VAGCOM communicates with the ecu on these cars (somebody correct me if I am wrong). My honest advise would be to junk it and run ABF management, I think it can be done on a 9a engine.
  7. Have you tried twisting the timing belt, 90 degrees either way is spit on, any less is too tight, any more is too loose.
  8. It is not as horrible as you think. However, if you are going the soldering route, you could just compare the two in situe, the wire colours will be the same hopefully, if you come across different colour wires in the plug vs your tangled mess of wires then you know it is different. If not, you are game on. Then it is happy soldering.
  9. Not sure of the definitive answer on this. However, if you need to strip yours out anyway you could then compare the two side by side perhaps?
  10. Just hold that thought, I am in negotiations for a brand new one which would probably be a better option
  11. Check your wiring, check everything related to ignition so that includes all sensors. Misfire could be caused by a bad connection so check your plugs. I had a car that did this, I never got to the bottom of it. Sold it and later came across the second owner after me. He said that wiring to the MAF was at fault. It was intermittently breaking connection.
  12. Pretty well used, but should be useable. Let me know how much for postage and I will send you some money.
  13. Can you post a photo up and how much you want for it posted?
  14. Interested in the one for sure, any clue on mileage, they usually last a good while though so not a major concern.
  15. Still need some, DriverVr6 is keeping them for himself
  16. True, it went through an MOT like it. I am happy to run as is for a bit as I don't do the miles, but if I do a track day later in the year it will be no good
  17. Yeah I don't need the rears, will take a front pair if needs be. I know what you are saying about just changing one, but in reality I will soon know if there is a problem as it will be out of balance. Having said that, the one I need to replace is leaking out of the top where the nipple adjuster is and has been for a few months, and despite this, I can't feel any difference.
  18. Jim, I wish you had not said the first bit, but thanks for the heads up on the second bit.
  19. Anyone got just one of these please, should be yellow if that helps with identification with the adjuster nipple on the top. Cheers
  20. Best put some pics up, if they happen to be koni adjustables I will have them (long shot)
  21. Nice wheels Deako, good to see you are still into the Veedubs.

    G60 won't run

Have you checked all the vac hoses, a big air leak perhaps?
  23. Yes confirmed, the vagcom blocks are purely for the ABS on the later G60s I am afraid. I too would suggest you swap the blue temp sensor
  24. Should be, but if it is really old it has probably weathered off. Once you get under there it should be all self evident. One top tip is to turn the engine over if you can't get the belt on by hand, ie get it on as far as you can and then rotate engine on the key (disconnect dizzy cap so it does not start), sometimes the belt might come off, but it can also spin it on too.
  25. Haha, just voted on the longest running poll of all time
