  1. Rear badges are the same as the 88-92 Passats, not sure about the 93-on facelifts though... Front badges on the Passat are the same size but have different clip fixtures so don't fit...
  2. I used both the above companies to shot-blast & powder-coat my Hoffman bmx frame and forks - if you want to see the finish, drop me a PM and pop over anytime you like!
  3. Yeah, that is a good price, but I would definitely check out his previous work, as advised!
  4. EDIT: if I get enough time, I'll edit and email you the wiring diagram I have. Is it for the VR?
  5. VWs are actually wired so that the electric windows work when the driver's door is open - my ZX had the same feature! You'll also find that when you stop the car and turn the ignition off, you can take the key out of the ignition and the windows will still operate, until you open and shut the driver's door. Handy huh?!

    Tailored Mats

Try Habianek for LHD mats - very good quality but unfortunately no option for a heelpad. Though he did make me a set of mats for my Passat to my own custom templates and they were only £40 for a set of 4, including delivery! Not sure how good his English is, but I used AltaVista's Babelfish and we understood each other!
  7. If there's a pin on the switch plug numbered 31 then trace where this goes to in the switch and earth to there - I know on the dash switches that pin 31 is always earth... I'll be doing a late-spec led change to red/blue soon so will attempt to take some pix if I remember, and do a how-to...
  8. Haha, actually they're not in that thread cos they're not a VW breaker specifically... http://www.gwbridges.co.uk
  9. You can just pop the actual vents out by putting your fingers in the gaps and pulling them towards you, if that's what's broken? And there is/was a LHD G60 in a scrappy in Crawley that may still have the vents in it... Or, call one of these guys - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28603
  10. All cars are female IMO - anything that costs you that much money, causes so much grief, demands so much time and attention, yet is so rewarding, must be female...!
  11. Actually, I had two ZX Volcanes (not the TDs though), and apart from a bit of a lack of headroom for a 6-footer, they were absolutely fantastic cars - same chassis as the 306 so nimble handling, don't rust, interior and switchgear are as good as VW (I had a 240,000-miler that had no sign of wear on the seats!), all the electrics worked on both... And apparently they're almost as fast as the petrol Volcanes yet turn in 50-55mpg... Check dis out...
  12. Found it and transferred the info across, and updated first post. :D Any more for any more...?
  13. Nick, you know your car looks really nice so stop putting it down or she'll get annoyed at you!
  14. Whilst trying to find various parts for my car, I've been trying to find all the VW/Audi breakers around the country - and it occurred to me that maybe a list in the Suppliers Forum might be an idea...? If you know of a specialist VW/Audi breaker near you, stick their name, address (if you know it), phone number, website, or any other contact details you know in this thread. I'm happy to update this first post with a list and sort it alphabetically, by county, or whatever you think's best... 15. I try not to buy at Esso anyways - apparently they are/were the only one of the big oil companies not to be researching alternative fuels... Problem on here is that a lot of the guys swear by the Super UL from BP... Me, I run an 8V NA so I don't care!
  16. Hahah, yeah, I know no-one's apportioning blame at all! Fret ye not... :D I'm happy to hear that I got the MFA and counter revs correct though - on mine I put the needles on wrong and now the speedo and rev counter over-read!:roll: Hope you get it sorted out matey!
  17. If I can just step in here... Chris bought the clocks from me, and I bought them from Mike Edwards, who had listed them as VR6 clocks. I only wanted them for the red needles, so all I did when I had them was swap the needles over and change the illumination. I never powered them on or did anything to knacker them in any way, shape or form! Clocks listed here as VR6... ;)
  18. Yeah, a good professional valet should only cost about £75 and will add at least a few hundred, if not more, onto the price you can ask... But yeah, I'd start it at £7k if you're confident in it...!
  19. try the connolley stuff worked wonders on both of mine. Heheh, the girlf works at a stables, so gonna use the proper stuff they use for treating saddles - much better than any car products apparently...! I have the Connolly stuff anyways... ;) And yes, bonnet bras rock... don't care what anyone says!
  20. For the 'rat... Fit new sunroof mech Fit new headlining/retrim existing Fit black bonnet Buy/fit bonnet bra Aero wiper conversion Fit new tail lights Finalise decal design Treat leather, clay-bar car, wash, wax Pray that everyone likes it!
  21. This thread...? Hope it helps mate! :D
  22. Hello mate, welcome to the forum! This thread - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25077 - should give you all the info you need, but from what I hear, the Magnex is a good exhaust... DTM is the German touring car championship, but in exhaust terms, it means twin upswept tailpipes. For a MK3 Golf, personally I think a nice rectangular "letterbox" style would look nice, but that's just me! Good luck in your search. :D
  23. Hmmm, I'd be interested in the result of this as I think scarlett's looking to swap her rear bench for a humped rear seat... Didn't realise it'd be such a pain! :(
  24. Welcome to the forum! If you can make it to Edition38 in 3 weeks time, you'll be able to meet pretty much all the regulars on the site there... 8-) Good luck with sorting the rado out, hope she provides you with much enjoyment... :D
