Camskill are doing Pirelli P-Zero Neros in 195/40R17 for £87 each - clicky clicky!

Rear foglights as well, totally hacks me off... And I always use lights on my bike as soon as it gets even slightly dark! :D

C'est un Corrado très beau, bienvenue au forum! 8)

Once again, the internet has come to my rescue! Two used Borbet A's in 7.5x17, 4x100 ET35 for 80Euros plus shipping from... wait for it... Finland! And I shall be taking the receipts to the council's highways dept next week so will let you know if I'm successful!

Don't worry, I will be... Thankfully I still have the wheels that were on the car when I bought it so they'll have to go back on for the time being... Was going to be popping along to the refurb place soon anyway, guess this just brings it forward to Monday! Anyone got any advice on how to approach the council; which department to speak to, etc? Or should I have a word with my local CAB first? Cheers for the responses guys, it's much appreciated! I suppose it's my own fault for having rare wheels!
-
Cheers Jim, totally didn't know that! Have you had any experience of this....? My main issue is that 17" Borbet A's in 4x100 ET35 are pretty damn rare and I'm sure they're not made anymore, so if the wheels isn't repairable then my only option is to get four new wheels... :( I love my Borbets and it took me ages to find them...

Well, I've just had a pain in the @rse end to my Friday night - driving at normal speed down a country lane after dropping a friend home, suddenly get a huge bang from the n/s front wheel and a major jolt, plus a load of hissing... Get out of the car and see that whilst my tyre is still inflated, the inner lip of my wheel (the rather unsupported section) has a lovely big flat-spot in it... Walk back along the road with my torch and discover a feck-off large pothole about 4-5 inches deep with harsh edges... Great, so the roads that I pay tax to drive on have now just knackered one of my (nice and rare) alloys... They were going to be refurbed anyway, but I'm not sure of how easy it is to repair flat-spots? And can I claim off the council for having sh1tty damn potholes in roads that we pay taxes to keep in good condition? Damnit, I was in a good mood this evening and now I'm a touch peed off...

That sucks, my deepest sympathies are with you and his family...

Nah, that's more info that I had before so it's all good! 8)

Does this mean I can interrogate my engine (2.0 8V - 2E code) with VAG-COM to check the state of the sensors then, as it has a Digi 1 ecu like the G60s...?
-
AFAIK the activating pins on the Passat handles are slightly different to the Corrado's - hence the need for using the mechs as well... I paid £20 at my local scrappy for two front mechs plus two rear handles, so you should only pay a fiver more for driver's handle on top of that. Don't forget to get the key else you won't be able to remove the barrel! :D
-
Ant (BananaMan) has told me about a US-spec Corrado at a scrappy near him in Kent that has aircon fitted - I'm hoping to get the compressor and condensor off it, so can try and liberate the fan blower from under the dash if you like? Only thing is, I won't be able to get over there til a week on Sat - could you wait that long?! :D
-
My advice is: get the front drivers AND both rear door handles form the Passat in the scrappy, along with the front door mechs. Swap your barrel into the Passat's drivers handle (you'll need the Passat's key for this). Fit a Passat rear handle to your passenger door, the driver's handle to your driver's door, and both the mechs to your doors. This way, when you get the alarm sorted, all you'll have to do is replace the driver's handle with the second remaining Passat rear handle. Job jobbed! :D

To reset a Digifant I ecu, start the engine and let it idle for a couple of mins to come up to temp, then disconnect the blue coolant temp sensor and rev the engine three times past 3000rpm. Re-connect the sensor and rev past 3000rpm another three times. Job done, IIRC!

Luuuuuuuuurvely!
-
Yup, I'll 2nd that - it's the same as my Passat...
-
Damnit, my credit card limit isn't that high... Definitely liking the one in the top pics more... Alfa have always come up with lush cars though - SZ anyone?
-
Cheers for all the opinions guys, but I think I'll be sticking with the black and red theme as I'm growing to really like it... Unless someone want to do me a 'chop with them fully polished or colour-coded to give me an idea of how good they might look...?;)
-
ABD are in Cali! Heheh, email them from their Contacts Page, send them the pic and ask 'em if it's one of theirs!
-
It appears to be from these guys - ABD Racing HTH! :D
-
Very Merc-alike - quite like 'em actually... Remember that gettin them resprayed could cost in the region of £200 so budget for that... Dark wheels with polished rims, reckon! ;)
-
IIRC the best engine of that model is the 2.0 16V - but the 5cyl 2.2 is supposed to be ok as well. I'd avoid the 2.3 Quattro like the proverbial plague, reckon it'd be hassle... Thought about one of these myself as they've aged really well and look great on a big set of wheels! 8)

You're not weird at all - both Phil K and I always used to do this on any of our cars that had manual windows!

Jay, you're still more mental that 99.9999% of us dub owners, so my cap weill remain firmly doffed in your direction! Hell, if I manage to do an oil change without covering myself in cr@p I'm happy! Hopefully catch the beast at Inters if it's gonna be there... -
Has anyone who's done this got any tips, such as what paint to use, prep, etc - made a practise attempt on a spare headlight today and it came out a bit, er, wrong!  Cheers!
