  1. Man, most people here really do have good taste! Danr, yes indeedy...! carpoid, I take it you have the dvd then? sheesh, never have i had my mind blown so much by the skill of one person... jimsG60, seen Hybrid live? I caught em at Concorde II in brighton last yr - 500 capacity venue, full live set, and had a chat with the singer afterwards... mentalicious... also saw Mylo play live there - that guy knows his retro-disco-funk-house-beats-tronica...! 8)
  2. carpoid, yeah i wasn't a fan of private press til i saw him live at brixton academy in 2002 and then it really started to grow on me... :notworthy: bit more of an update: grade - under the radar something corporate - leaving through the window james lavelle live in barcelona the killers - hot fuss hybrid - remix and additional production by... rufio - 1984 + perhaps, i suppose coheed and cambria - in keeping secrets of silent earth:3 funeral for a friend - casually dressed and deep in conversation deftones - white pony sigur ros - () m83 - dead cities, red seas & lost ghosts lost in translation OST atreyu - the curse plus a couple of cds of stuff recorded from Secret Sound Service, a Winamp radio station that plays really cool electronica...!
  3. Cheers for the point to this thread VR6, I wouldn't have found it otherwise! And apologies for starting the other thread in OT, must've been asleep when I did that! So, here's my list of what's currently in the cd deck (again!): Bullet For My Valentine:Self-Titled EP - Welsh, very melodic screamo with lots of 80's-style riffage, for those who wished Funeral For A Friend were a bit heavier! Jimmy Eat World:Futures - top-notch US emo, fantastic melodies, plus I'm going to see em on Tues! DJ Shadow:Endtroducing - the original and the best, the master of sample-based atmospheric hip-hop/soundscapery, cd cover is my avatar!
  4. Good luck for saturday mate - I'll hold off buying my aero wipers for a bit shall I?! ;)
  5. Here you go then chap! :)
  6. Get thee some polished Design 90s on there with black detailing on the back of the spokes + wheel, then you can ditch the skirts... Looking sweet though, I'm not jealous of that engine at all...
  7. Sucks about yr 'rado mate, good thing it all got sorted in the end though and stuff...
  8. Welcome to the forum chap - looking forward to some pics!
  9. It's a very quick and easy job (or at least it is on a Passat but I'd imagine it is on the 'rado too), but unless you're switching to Passat rear handles there's no need to change the mechs AFAIK... To take the handles out, unscrew the securing screw in the door shut panel (driver's door is a reverse thread), detatch the central locking wires from inside the door, slide the handle towards the front of the door then pull the rear of the handle towards you and it should just pivot out. For the catch, undo the two csk hex key screws and remove from the door, detatching the rod as you pull it out. Changing the tumblers is easy, just pop the circlip and washer off the back of the tumbler, insert key in the lock, turn it 90degrees and it should just slide out... Re-fitting is, as they say, the reverse of removal! :)
  10. If the motor is the same as the Passat one, I have a spare from the driver's door of mine that you can have for just the cost of the postage if you need? The regulator's knackered but I think the motor just unbolts...
  11. Very nice indeed - get some German replica number plates on there sir! Oh, welcome to the forum chap! 8)
  12. Good luck mistrall, hope you manage to get it sorted - and never lose faith or you'll end up driving a Volvo or something!
  13. Nice one Ant, glad to hear she's running again and will make it to Westerham tomoz...!
  14. Am quite tempted but having a 4-dr means I have to spend twice as much! Oh, the suffering, etc, etc... But then I'd also have to get chrome lock mechs as well... 8)
  15. Performance Solutions (01604 232003) sell kits for £59 per pair - check this month's PVW as they usually have a full-page ad somewhere in it... 8)
  16. Very nice - I'm a sucker for old skool wheels and the Design 90's are good 'uns! 8) Welcome to the forum chap!
  17. Dude, after seeing your 'rado at Westerham last month, there's no way you can give up on her - she's lovely! Is there no way you can get Darren to check it out...?
  18. Ahhhhhh, if it don't scrape, it ain't low enough...!
  19. Schmidt-TH for my preference, but then I just luuuuurve old skool... 8) Speaking of arch rolling, am currently seeing about getting one of those home-made arch rolling tools made so if that could be of use then let me know...
  20. Unless you have an aftermarket stereo that can accept a speed sensor input to control the volume - oh how i wish i had one! - but i don't think they're that commom...
  21. I've got a 2E in my Passat and there's no official induction kit AFAIK (unless someone wants to tell me otherwise!); the previous owner just removed the airbox and bolted on a K&N cone filter... The problem is that the airbox holds the air flow meter up so currently it's just cable-tied to the inner wing! Have to either make a heatshield/mounting, or either replace the original airbox with a K&N panel and just drill it...
  22. Am looking forward to a ride in it now Alex - it was bl**dy quick before IMO! But then I am used to an 8V Passat!
  23. Nice C - like the rims! Welcome to the site chap!
  24. Need a hand? I'm only too willing to help... ;)
