Loving the rims mate, tres Euro!
-
Not sure about that rear spoiler (!), but otherwise very 8) - and in Lithuania too!
-
Andyspares' forum is very good for the French stuff - I was on there before here... They got bought out a few years back and are part of the GSF group now...
-
They use metal hooks to hang the wheels which leave gouges in the inner faces of the wheels, and they "don't count the rear face and inside of the wheels as part of the refurbishing process"... AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! I wasn't told of either of these points by the intermediary (North Hants Tyres, Fleet) before sending my wheels away; and had I known, I would have not entrusted them with the work. Needless to say I shall be speaking to my local CAB regarding compensation...
-
Aye, tis sweet says oi... 8)

To be fair, if I owned a Lambo and someone said "that's just a phallus extension", my reply would be "Yes it is, and I don't care 'cause I've got a Lambo and you haven't!" heheh...
-
Kev, try BJV Engineering, they're only in Herts and do a free collection and delivery service within a 50mile radius. I was gonna use them (and kind of wish I had now...). HTH!
-
Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you got a good 'un there...
-
Andi, pmsl!
-
A word of warning - I've just had my rims done by Spit and Polish and tbh, I'm none too happy with the gouges inside the rear face of the wheels (from the hooks used to hold them), and the black marker pen over the areas where the spraypaint missed... That sucks though mate, hope you get em sorted...

Yandards' 16VG60 - Running Report 23 Jul 15
gradeAfailure replied to Yandards's topic in Members Gallery
Very nice... -
Cheers - will let you know how I get on tomorrow... I'm running a fast road cam; do these usually run different timing to the standard cam? It's a Piper 260 (256degree)
-
Timing? Admittedly mine's only a NA 8v, but that's pretty much what's been happening to mine since the timing was incorrectly altered...
-
Could be that the alarm is tapped into the same circuit as the driver's door handle activating switch, and there's a broken wire or loose connection somewhere? Weird that it unlocks though, can't explain that...!
-
I'd personally only go for the Toyos or the Contis... My two penn'orth! :)
-
No, he said the dizzy was seized in the block so he wasn't able to shift it from above and as it was nearly 6pm, there wasn't time to get it back on the ramps again. It's going back on Monday afternoon - he says he'll just put the cam timing back to where it was if it was running ok before (which it was), but should I insist that it's all timed and set up properly...? I'd have thought so...

After the C.... what would you have?

I dream of one day owning a car that cost more than a grand to buy! -
Get 'em shotblasted and then powdercoated - find the people to do it in Yellow Pages! Looking good though, can't wait to see her with the Borbets! 8)
-
Just a quick post as I need someone to allay my fears! Sen went into the garage today for valve stem seals (good job too - I saw the ones that came out and there was nothing of them!), and Danny the mechanic said that he noticed that the valve timing was a tooth out, which he corrected - but that this then threw the distributor timing out by a few degrees, which he didn't have time to correct, but to drive it and let him know how it felt. So, I drove her home, and it was depressing - no power, she felt gutless and strangled. Can the dizzy timing cause this even if it's only out by a few degrees? :(

Aerial stolen - UPDATED with pics of suspect Corrado
gradeAfailure replied to CorradoWannabe's topic in General Car Chat
There should be some sort of vetting procedure if someone's buying a nice dub to weed out people like that and force them to buy a Chavalier instead! That sucks mate - it may not be anything major, but it's the principle of the thing... -
Gutted mate, words fail me...
-
Very 8), liking the dish on those rims!

removing steering wheel to put on a momo one help please
gradeAfailure replied to Rollyrob's topic in Interior
You'll need a nice big socket (think it's about 22mm - someone correct me if I'm wrong) to undo the nut for the steering wheel once you've prised off the horn push. Once that's undone, give the back of the wheel a few thumps and it should come right off. Slide the Momo boss onto the splines, making sure it's lined up correctly for the wheel to sit straight, and stick the big nut back on. Wire up the horn push, and bolt on the new wheel. Go for a drive and spend far too much time admiring your new steering wheel. Crash. Regret doing the whole damn thing. Give up and buy a Micra. Grow old. Die. Job done! ;) EDIT: Ant, you beat me to it cause mine turned into an essay! -
Went for a drive the morning with a friend (pictures)

Damnit, makes me want my bike back... Always rode fully rigid though - arms and legs were my suspension! Ach, I remember the days... ;) -
