Thanks for the reply.I suppose it's just trial and error then.I'm aiming for the same result as the shiny puppy at the top of the page.Something tells me that's gonna take a lot of elbow grease. Don't know about the manifold dimensions, sorry.
-
Ok,I fancy giving this a go myself.Has anyone else on here done this? I plan on polishing the inlet manifold and painting the VR6 DOHC thingy-bit.Any advice on materials/strategy welcomed.

I'm deffo liking the Richbrook ones.If the chavs want them bad enough they'll still be able to take them,I think.Just press a pin or something into the top of the valve and twist would be enough to get them off.It will stop opportunist thieves though.I'd love to see their faces when the cap just spins in their thieving little paws instead of coming off.

Good Salesman & Good Buyer Thread
TheWizardofOdds replied to VR6's topic in Site Comments and Questions
Thanks to Goldie for the prompt sending of a rear light cluster, same as above-dispatched before payment.Nice one geezer. -
They've been on a few days now-so that makes them the longest lasting valve caps I've had already!.They work fine, decent finish(I went for the silver ones)for a tenner.Hopefully that'll be the end of the nonsense.

Worst thing some has said about ur Corrado
TheWizardofOdds replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
Would be interesting to know what they drive. We,being Corradophiles, could never agree to a C being ugly. From the front is one of the best angles with which to view a Corrado..it looks ready. -
Indeed.Unleash hell.

I'm waiting on the Richbrook spinning efforts to arrive any day. I've had so many caps nicked it's actually humorous.Would you believe the very chav who nicked mine fairly recently parked next to me in the street sporting my caps on his cavalier. The c**t.I took 'em back. Hopefully the spinners do the job. What with passing schoolkids nickin' 'em(for their bikes,of course)and the local chavs,I've got my work cut out.

The heart-stopping moment of nearly totalling it within 10 mins of purchase. Phew..

Plug and Play for me.

You poor man.

Jim I have the same fob as you,do you know what the 3-pinned thingy is on the side of the fob? Is it possible to buy these fobs from VW still?(highly unlikely,I know).
-
There was an awful lot less cars on the road then. Doesn't make it right ,I know.Maybe it just seemed that unless you were absolutely blitzed it was ok to drive-you probably wouldn't be pulled. We live in different times.I'm sure most people my age will agree when I say that police presence(on the roads)was minimal to say the least compared to today.
-
Nothing.I just think the Porsche handles would look ace on a Corrado(mine).

I was stopped by the Old Bill last week.4 of the clock in the morning,I saw them parked up ahead, and being the only car on the road knew I was getting pulled. So I pulled over(like you do),window down, plod says"Mornin' sir, there's been a lot of fancy cars stolen recently, but this is obviously yours..blah,blah".As he walked away I became increasingly more indignant. What the fcuk was he on about.."This is obviously yours?". I still don't know if they pulled me over because it was a "fancy car",they were bored(most likely),or they were a pair of twunts who couldn't help but get a dig in.

Toyo T1-R tyres ....Are these very good or only average?
TheWizardofOdds replied to matth76's topic in Exterior
It's surely worth asking the Forum, and then forming an opinion from there. If you have the wonga to just dive in;by all means disregard peoples' views. Some peoples' views are founded on experience. -
Dammit!..coolrado,you're supposed to say"yes, they're a perfect fit for the 'rado, and cost only one small pig"-or something like that. I see what you're saying but the Mk1. Golf pulls it off,so I'm sure it'd look the nuts on a Corrado.
-
In this month's Performance VW a Golf owner has fitted the door handles from a 944 turbo to his steed, and I wouldn't mind giving it a go on my Corrado.I think they'd look even better on the C.Would they fit?

Help, i'm tepmted to sell my corrado!!!
TheWizardofOdds replied to matt_corradovr6's topic in General Car Chat
I think it might be time to sell, for you. It seems when the seed of doubt is sewn the decision is already made. For me,if you have a Corrado you love it or you don't.There's no middle ground. -
I've only seen Overhaulin' once or twice so don't know too much about Chip. I used to watch American Hotrod.Boyd and in particular-Dwayne,are a pair of twunts. And Bluebear. Used to like it when the black geezer(Whasisname?)and Roy(since passed away,I believe)were on,usually doing nothing. American Chopper's way too gay for me though. The bikes. The 'staches. The gayness. I actually saw American Hotrod tonight, and didn't recognise anyone other than Boyd,Dwayne,Berndt and Big Moustachioed Thinks He Knows Better Than Everyone Else Dude.

How many of us have near original spec Corrados?
TheWizardofOdds replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
Most Corrados on here are tastefully modified. It's the nature of the beast. A little tweek with the wipers/headlights just makes sense. My own Corrado is separated from the car that left the factory in that it has different wipers. Plans are to upgrade the headlights so I can see where I'm going,tinted-red rears,RS 301 alloys, job done. My most hated mod of the Corrado(it has to be said)is the gangsta over-lowering of the suspension, and crystal rears that serve only to make the Corrado look older than it is. -
I think I must be quite fortunate in that my Corrado costs are negligable(including the usual service, petrol fees). Well done on the new wheels,I love the clean-cutness of it(particularly the interior).I have absolutely zero knowledge of Audi's-but they seem to be solid,well-built cars.
-
Bless them.A heart-warming tale. Unlucky dude.
-
For something a bit different,(much like the Corrado)you're on the right track with the M coupe. I'm generally ambivelant regarding BMW's,but the M is class. The 350z is nice too,but like the Golfs they're too numerous.

Check that. Looking at M15 VW's sig.-it's Burgundy Pearl.
