Haven't used redex in the rado but did use it a few years back when I had a clio that was hesitant, lacking in power etc (what little power the clio had anyway!). :D Whether it is just paraffin dyed red or not it seems to do the trick!

I quite like scoobys and evos (not so keen on skylines though).....I'm now trying to decide if I'm a petrolhead or a skanky cruise tart
-
I'll second that. We've taken the VR there a few times.
-
Er, anyone?
-
Hello welcome to the forum. There seems to be more and more corrados in Bristol all the time. We have a L reg dark Burgundy VR6, give us a wave if you see us about :D

Sometimes my indicators work and sometimes they don't. It started with my right indicator, when I turn it on, nothing happens, the dash light doesn't flash and the relay doesn't click. If I turn it off and on a few times it then decides to work. Now the left one has started not working. What could it be? Am I right in thinking it isn't the fuse because they work sometimes? Is it the relay or the switch? Please help because it's really annoying when I can't indicate and I hate people who don't indicate! BTW not that it probably makes a difference but this in on my golf.

lol that's quality. My grandparents live in Petersfield, next time I visit I'll leave my dirty golf in that street :D

It's not a clunking or knocking sound. I have read all those posts and they don't have the same symptoms. It doesn't happen when cornering only but it is worse on cornering. It is a forward motion noise. It sounds like something is creaking as it turns round. We are going to have a look at the car at the weekend. Will be checking all the mounts etc. Thanks for the ideas :D

just voted....5% now!

How do I check them to see if it is the wishbone mounts??

(Before anyone says it I have done a search but I couldn't find the answer  ) There is a strange rubbing/creaking noise coming from the front driver side. It does it when going slowly but I can't hear it when going faster but that's probably just cos of the engine noise! As the wheel goes round something rubs/creaks. It does it more when turning right but it also does it when going straight and turning left. The wheel bearings were done a few months ago. We thought it might be CV joint but took it to a garage and they said CV joint was fine. (The brake disc had a lip on it that was rubbing on the caliper but that was a different grinding noise). Today we have put new dics and pads on the front but there is still a strange noise and we don't know what it is and it's really annoying!! Someone help please

Oh, ok. In my mind pearlescent and metallic are two completely different things but obviously not in the world of VW paint

Trimsport cannot do a rear strut brace group buy!

Are you talking about the ones that go in the boot behind where the back seats are? If so, we've got one and I'll measure it when I get home, if no one else has done it before that :D -
M15 VW is yours Burgundy Pearl 'cos it looks more purple than mine?
-
That's LC3U, 'cos that what mine is! (Even though it looks more metallic than pearl)
-
Excuse me for asking a silly question  but when you say its 59cm front, 60cm rear, what points do you measure between?

When I called Chipsaway out for a quote for my old Valver they were sh1t! Despite looking at the back of the car whilst writing the quote form, the woman still managed to mistake my car for a Toyota Corolla  Their quote wasn't that good either. £250 seems like a good price to me Trigger, and like Nick said you could get some other stuff colour coded if you want!
-
I'm with Chris Knott, they beat Flux's quote. Never tried Brentacre though.
-
Just to make you that little bit more jealous Scarlett.....I got in free! (I work for the council and we go to take samples of animal feed to see if it is what it says it is!)

LOL, I've just been up to Badminton Horse Trials today and there are plenty of people there who have more than a few pennies to rub together!!
-
They are the worst kind of driver. They only have one speed whether in a 30 or a 60 zone they go 40mph. :bad-words:
-
This happened to me the other day but luckily I was in the crappy old golf so I don't really care. If it was the corrado though I might cry

Our VR is on about 140k and badly needs some work doing. lots of smoke from the exhaust and plugs 1 & 6 get quite oily sometimes!!

Plate is London SW, I bought it in Manchester, took it to Bedford, now live in Bristol. Probably been elsewhere in between London and Manchester too.

what does this mean for us? no more modifications

whether it's a joke or not, it actually sounds like a good idea to me. Like Baz said, I think it will have more impact on the max power type shite cars than more 'sensible' mods like suspension/brake upgrades etc. But what you have got to bear in mind is that cars are made with a certain setup in mind and when you alter that setup you alter the performance and ultimately the safeness of the car. eg a little saxo that some chav has stuck one of those awful meccano type spoilers on, put a massive sub/amp in the boot, added a stainless steel exhaust etc, it all alters the weight of the car and the brakes/suspension etc may not have been made with that kind of weight in mind! PLus if you add a few of his chav mates in there, it all takes the vehicle over it's weight limit!
