  1. Yea mine does the same, it's a nob sometimes, just let it cool down and check the water level, if it's low top it up, if it isn't then you have a problem with one of the things you said, feel the top and bottom water hoses to see if one is hotter than the other, if so it's your thermostat. Could be poor water pump poss, the plastic bladed snap off but more than likely it's the thermostat or aux pump Chris
  2. It's a shame i don't have any video's, i've had mine off the clock loads, need to capture some of them, yours seemed really smooth and quite quiet mind Jay! Chris
  3. H8RRA has 331bhp and 311torque and it doesn't spin unless you can't drive, don't read the hype, it's written by people whom have no frame of reference Chris
  4. There has been a lot of discussion about this and my car seemed to be the only one to have had these fitted. Have a search, Chris Hill bought my Vr off me and he put some pic up in his members gallery. Chris
  5. Wheels go well with it too! Nice example, i noticed the zorst too, get them rubbers man. Chris
  6. But that's a conversion and a different thread altogether plus you don't get the inprovments that come with a VR, drive them both and it won't be in question. mattosmond, is that an damaged orange or are you showing us a few solar flares and a sun spot? Chris
  7. Mine had one of these, i left it out on the VR, didn't see the point Chris
  8. Be interesting to follow your progress but not sure if blue is the colour! Eyes are most reactuve to amber and red is a narrow shoft in the spectrum from it so is very receptive unlike blue, that's all bull really but red is the real colour for a shift light. Get on with it then and show us what you do. Chris
  9. I thought he'd be state side but had to ask before we dispense our worldly knowledge  Chris
  10. And get it between your fingers, it feels nice! :dorky: Chris
  11. All is not lost, looks like you could just flatten down the area where the mount will sit and it will go on as long as the hole and area it's going into is in the right place but as CorradoVR6-n.o.s says, it's not a VR X-member so it's up to you mate, get the right thing really is the answer. Chris
  12. Well you've seen the Supercharged thread haven't you, there's lots you can tinker with, intercoolers, small pulleys, Schimmel etc and stick nitrous on for ultimate shove when needed. The moral of the story is if you want an all round performance increase then charge it! KADVR6, you forgot to mention the price of remapping between mods which people will do as they mod thier car at £360 a shot if not more. Chris
  13. This is hard, how are you meant to display your thoughts? Chris
  14. Crazyfast50stang, may i ask where are you from? Chris
  15. That vid has been doing the rounds for years but i still sat through it and watched happily. Our VR6 has a larger engine in Europe though and has better window controls and i was going to say better heater controls but mine are broken! Chris
  16. RADO.001, you seem to be a little bet at odds with yourself and what you want. In order to get the bhp figure you want you will spend a huge amount of money and i've seem people not get that figure even so, the StageI Vortech Supercharger kit offers 250bhp and loads more torque than you will create with it being normally aspirated as it is now. I think it was about £1750 for the StageI setup and that is upgradible as and when you would like more power. So what's being said is do it wisely and the wise way is to supercharge it, else take no notice of anyone and go enjoy spending your money as and how you like. Chris
  17. I googled for a couple of pics, this one might show it to be a bit too bright and distracting but still Below, this is the brightness of the one i use in the Skyline Here is a nice little Razo unit from Japan that works effectively Hereis a link to show you more about this including fitting explanations, not too hard and works well and is fully adjustable to revs you want and amount of cylinders you have. Thoughts? Chris
  18. A whole lot more potential than the G60 for sure. Chris
  19. There's always Nitrous, and you can use this with the charger later on too. Chris
  20. It seems to me that this thread is full of non VR owners offering advice. I started off my Corrado ownership with a valver and progressed, much as you seem to be pondering about, progressing that is. The VR is bullit proof and produces 190+bhp and 181Lb/ft torque so how does that rack up agains the 4cyl harsh rattlier G60? Every G i've been in has seemed like a less luxurious car indeed, with smaller wheel bearings and smaller breaks and lighter struts. If you drive the two back to back i'll put money on it that you'd like the effortless squeeze up to 100mph in the VR than the thrashed efforts of the G60. Plus what ever you would spend on a G60, spend it on the VR and you get more power and torque for your money. It's not all about power though. Drive the two back to back and decide then, listen to what people have to say but don't let them decide for you. They aren't buying it and don't be romantic about your car either, it may just turn out to be the decision that bites you in the backside. Chris
  21. Sounds interesting but if you've ever used a shift light, they need to be quite bright or a large illuminated area to catch your eye when they are needed. Let's see some pics when you have them. Chris
  22. Impressive results for a valver, are you sure it's for the same car/engine? seriously though it's a G60 in disguise, good one! Now go sell it and get loads of money and buy a VR  Chris
  23. Loving it, i'd drive it about but it would have to have a fvck off engine in it to carry it off! Chris
  24. If it's an aftermarket mount and it's the drivers side rear mount then yes you will get shlt loads of vibration on idle. Chris
