they are the 'dugs nuts for VW's round here - they both worked for VW for years and then set up themselves, they work on any dub and their workshop was littered with awesome cars last time we were there! the soon to be tt powered Venom polo, vr6 turbo with an amazing paint job, their own red rallye, it was cool to get to look at em all.... nice blokes too, and wont take the mick out you pricewise!!!

yup - I got shown this, very clever!!! -
just make sure the car is out of gear when you do this... i didnt once the car shot forward and knocked me over....
-
yeah, I second that... just go to the Phirm, the guy who told me bout the VW place in Sandhurst has had probs with his car recently so they may not be as good as he thought!!!

I should have my second car soon, a V6 Audi 80. My C is getting ruined with me taking it to and from the stables and keeping my horses tack and rugs in it, its filthy inside and out and my lovely retrimmed front seats seriously need a shampoo!!! There is also the issue of taking my lowered C down little bumpy farm roads and the fact the road into the yard had a big 'hump' on the way out which catches splitter, sump and exhaust if not taken at the right speed! I am ruining the car using it like this, so a big 4 door with a huge boot seems like a better plan, plus it will tow a horsebox. my prob is that i need to sort out insurance so that the C can still be driven as i still want to take it to work and use it as much as poss and try and keep the Audi just for the hard work! :)
-
Borbet A's are getting a little too 'common' now!!! :) so i'd say go for the Azevs or Borbet E's if you really want some old school deep dish action.... :)

i have 9x16's on my C wth a 65/55 ish drop with no arch work to the front and just the return lips cut at the back (which is a DIY job) but the offset on a VR is different and thus the wheels would stick out more on yours meaning the tread might not be contained within the arch and this giving you probs if the cops were to take a closer look, and that there is a greater chance of needing work done. M15 VW is running 9's at the back with a 60mm drop and no probs - she also has a set of 5x100, 9x16 Borbet A's for sale which I believe are the same offset and might fit... http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38921

like the animal welfare people 'we dont like to put a good one down' so DONT DO IT!!! breaking a working corrado is bad, evil and wrong! you will get it sold, maybe you are asking a bit too much (i dont know the car so have no idea) or advertising in the wrong place..... you'll get taken to the burny place for breaking it..... :(

yeah, thats fine but has anyone actually had a prob with being stopped because of their lights being tinted? My previous C had them done on the top half and I had no probs, and they were rather dark. The indicator was still clearly flashing orange through the tint. Dave has the crystal and smoked fk's/inpros (cant remember) and its nearly impossible to see the indicator flashing when he is braking, i've missed turns when following him a few times as I've not been able to see the fact he was indicating because he was slowing down - not good...!
-
I had mine done on my old car with no probs with either MOT or Plods, the reverse light still shines through as does the indicator... Dave has just done another set for me and they are even darker - yay! em... the car in the pics looks really like walesy's new G60 which had fully tinted lights that he has just taken off... where are they advertised?
-
yeah, Hella never made other lights for the Rado other than the bog standard ones so they are obviously ones that someone has tinted. They would look ok on an Aqua Blue but get some close up pics to check the quality of the job done, from personal experience of watching dave do mine its tricky to get a really great finish on them without the tint running etc....
