  1. deffo a KR cam in the 2ltr engine.... whooooooooooooooosh!!! and lupo wipers... i love my lupo wipers...! :)
  2. have another two to add to the spotted in Farnborough list... saw a green 2ltr k reg on estorils at the roundabout with the carpark below it in the town centre earlier in the week... i tried to flash/wave but was past before i could... and today a white G reg 1.8 on sebrings outside 'bathroom world' in Farnborough between 1 and 2... anyone here....?
  3. yay!!! thats good news... what was the total bill then?
  4. awwwww.... dont make me feel guilty....! she's a happy little rado...! :) (sorry - bit OT...!!!)
  5. they're not quick, but if your thinking of doing engine stuff, its not worth spending extra to get the G engine! looks a solid base for whatever you decide. Im currently getting tempted by a high power Tdi conversion  .... they can be bloomin quick!! make the KR Cam mod the first you do and you'll not be far off a VR (as ZippyVR6 will confirm about mine). Check my sig for the bhp etc.... looks like a great base for a project, welcome aboard! :)

i love my T's.... obviously... but the E and B are nice also, and not something you see on many rados....
  7. yeah, the problem is I'll want them too if they are that good.....!!! double the corrados = double the expense.... lol!!! :)
  8. one of the reasons for buying your VR was it didnt need anything done to it  i'll have some cheese grated over my beans, thanks..... :)
  9. this car just looks great in all the pics.... am really beginning to like green ones.... :) whats next on your list to do Trig?
  10. veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery nice mate...... like the stance, low and mean.... tis how a rado should be....!
  11. I have coilies at the front - Konigsports I believe - and koni springs and shocks at the back with eibach anti roll bars all round and its the dugs nuts, so to speak...! its 60mm at the front, 50mm at the back and holds the road round corners like a limpet. the ride quality was fantastic on the standard 15" Estorils and although it is harsher with the 16x9's on her, its not harsh enough to make me change, especially when it drives like it does... spoke to the Phirm bout doing my arches and dropping the back slightly to even it up and they said i would have to change the set up to have the same all round... no chance!! am to pleased with it....!! :)
  12. this has been mentioned on here loads, i think every 2ltr (inc mine!) does it... try the search and you'll find loads of suggestions.... :)
  13. thats quite cool that there are so many together... we have loads in Farnborough and surrounding too.... along with the people we know I see another 6 or 7 on a regular basis....!
  14. not a huge fan of the new 'rat... however i did see a 159 in the metal today and it was stunning, the front grille really makes the car... i hope to get a v6 gt when i eventually grow out of the rado.... i had a 145 for 2 years which gave me no probs at all, flew through the mot and only ever needed a couple of tyres... it was a great car, very nearly bought one of them again instead of the rado! any yup, jim your right, the dealer network is atrocious, trying to get info on new cars, deals, parts, servicing etc was a nightmare... its a pity, they are great cars... as Clarkson said on TG when they had the brera on, your not a true petrolhead until youve owned an alfa romeo....!! lol!! :)
  15. you were lucky you didnt have a passenger in the car or it could have been even worse!!! the pic of the car is horrible.... poor c.... :(
  16. another one in the best corrado colour....!
  17. i'd either go back to Jeep Cherokee (soooooo much fun driving over the roundabouts in those things....!) or an Alfa Romeo.... probably a 145 Cloverleaf or a 147 if i could afford one.... :)
  18. YAY! It finally got in... we've been waiting months for this.... there were supoosed to be pics of the cars too tho.... boooooo! :)
  19. it definately does look lower mate when you see it in the flesh....
  20. I sold my 134k valver and bought one with 160k (tho admittedly in much better mechanical condition), I'm doing the 1000 mile trip to Glasgow and back every month in her, plus my usual milage... and she hasn't missed a beat.... :) imo people get to caught up with milage...
  21. red is the best colour....! welcome aboard! :)
  22. i admit to liking FTO's too... if i had to go jap it would be one i would be looking at...
  23. niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice...... very nice.... We know of a 1.8 valver in black for sale (not on here obviously) for £1200... you just cant go wrong at that price...!
  24. Depends on how properly you want to do it! Anything between £1.5k and £4k depending on what parts you use, where you source them, brand new or 2nd hand, whether it all goes together easily or not, etc... There was a big thread about turbo-ing valvers recently, i'll see if i can find it...
  25. Turbo Technics did a KR Turbo kit back in the day, can be done now using Audi S2 parts, the TT kits come up every so often on eBay, can get around 225-250bhp if it's set up and running right... :) More if you want to start upping the boost to silly levels! There was a 16VT Mk2 in PVW with 420bhp not so long ago...
