  1. My Garmin is pretty good. Probably would buy another if I needed too.
  2. Here is a guide, doesn't say which nipple though.
  3. I wouldn't. It was built to be driven, and the feel of a "nearly new" VR would be interesting. Wonder how much the suspension rubbers have deteriorated though?
  4. There should be the two nipples on the 1way valve on the plastic pipe that runs from the inlet, over the coilpack and to the back of the engine bay. The vavle is ont he back corner of the block IIRC
  5. wow thats a good price! i would have refurbed them if it wasn't for the buckled wheel. still handy to know, where about's and whats the name? Think it's KJ Coatings at Alresford.
  6. If you want to refurb any wheels I know a local company who will shotblast and prime them for £10 each.

Yeah. I am a big fan. Delicious Irish Cake.
  8. It's not horrendous to do if you can get the allen key bolt out easily. They often corrode badly. The crank sensor is on the front of the block near the oil cooler, you should be able to reach it with the front of the car jacked up.
  9. VR hunting??? You're setting your sights faaaaar to low mate.

    Music thread...

Just bought Annie Mac Presents, and Nirvana Live at Reading '92. Both are making homework slightly easier...
  11. No. Fork knows how I ended up in this role. Getting more interesting though... :)
  12. Looks like it was. Helios Blue Metallic ---------------------LA5Y --------------------88 - 90 Welcome!
  13. The pipes are shaped so they should only fit one way, but they shouldn't actually matter as far as I understand the K/KE-Jet system. The sensor in your hand does connect to that wire, and clamps to the front of the rocker cover. That does look like the right wire for the oil temp sensor. The ambient air temp sensor plugs into the lower grille in the bumper. Driver side.
  14. Indeed we do replace with s/s! [and slap the waxoyl about] We have "BAPP" in Barnsley who do a nice line in s/s fastenings - but are we creating a corrosion time bomb adding s/s to a lower grade body? Any metalurgists out there? Can't remember any of it now though. :(
  15. :luvlove: Good to see some proper engineering, and references to the fast show.

Nothing wrong with surface dressing, financially it's a good way to improve the road surface on increase the lifespan of a road :dorky:

Don't even do that much resurfacing, although it does look quite cool when we do.
  18. I wouldn't bother unless there's something wrong with your original hub.

Farm. They don't have such fun kit doing maintenance on the highway now :( Want to get involved in some roadbuilding. We don't do anything exciting like that now.
  20. In that case, I'll get you some pictures. :) Do you want the stub axles or not?

That makes me slightly damp. Almost got our mitts on a Track Marshall TM150 or 155 the other day but it made too much. Total over kill for us, but would have been a talking point...
  23. Might be the fuel rail getting too hot, the injectors leaking or the cold start injector firing when it shouldn't. Try unplugging it, then maybe investigate the injectors for one or more leaking.
