Is that a very involved process?

Mechanically sympathetic right foot. Cool or should that be left. Thanks D.

Is there anything that can be done to strengthen them? Thanks D.

How much power can the Golf Rallye drive train take, will it be able to handle about 310bhp / 300 torque ? Thanks D.

Hello Does anyone know the Bosh part number for MAF that the Dizzy VR6 uses? Thanks d.

Thanks Bally, biggerbigneil, No sorry mate, I am actually thinking about putting it into retirement soon, once I find an MX5 for the misses to drive. I am the second owner on it since new, I kind of like it more than my C VR6, will post some interior/engine pic’s soon, all standard but very clean.

Anyone converted their 16v from k jet to digifant from a mk3
dav replied to rmn's topic in Engine Bay
I am looking to do this conversion on my MK2, would it be simpler to do on a Digifant MK2? Thanks D. -
Thanks mate, I am surprised just how good they look, I was going to spray them a sort of anthracite/gun metal gray colour but I think they look cool just as they are. My mate motor is indeed wearing Turini’s, his motor is the nuts very well put together with all the right bits, pure function.

8) The defiantly look cool

My motor with its new steel winter wheels(what my wife drives every day), after i spent a few hours with the polish and wax, pics are not that good but are the best my phone could do. mmmm shiny... The other Red golf is my mates 300bhp 18T monster....mmmm scary... Look VW Hovercar in the background

Mate I would check your Fuel Pump (fuel pressure), and also the Coil Pack. Your symptoms sound very similar to the one’s that I had with my VR, it turned out to be both in my case, but I spent a lot of money on unnecessary parts before it finally got fixed. I have a distributor type VR like yours too, try and borrow a Coil Pack if you can and swap it over to see if it makes a difference. Hope this helps D.

A mate of mine has a cf bonnet on his 18T Golf MK2, the qualityof it is not that good as it has started to split. Got his from All smiles i think.

I am in Hayes Middlesex mate. Not to far from Uxbridge.

fla, I went through I similar process, in the end it turned out to be the fuel pump, and the coil pack. Trust a VR not to do anything by half’s. I changed loads of sensors, I suppose most of them did not need changing but its all good now. I see you’re in Middlesex so if you want to try the spare engine speed sensor I have your welcome. D.

Its a good kit for the money, had them on my MK1 - top adjustables, the ride was just right and the stance was sweet. D.

Tell me about it mate, I have changed so many damn sensors on the VR, any sane person would think that this would endow it with extrasensory powers… I even keep ECU & Fuel pump relays in the glove box just in case. VAG even charged me 80p for the washer.
-
I changed one my VR last week, if I can remember correctly is cost me about £25-ish form VAG.

Hello I need the link for the german site that was doing good deals on RH alloys. Thanks D.
-
theRuler, It seems like your problems are very similar to what i was experiencing with mine, i changed a hole load of parts and in the end it turned out to be the Fuel pump and the Coil, mine is "dizzy VR" but i suppose the fault still applies. After i changed the fuel pump it ran fine for a few days and then it started to play up again, after changing the coil it has been running really good but i recon that’s also down to the amount of parts that have been replaced. When I did get it Vag-com’ed it showed no errors, but it could very well be different for you, get it checked as soon as possible, could save you a great deal of time, money and frustration. D.
-
Were did you get it from mate and how much? Thanks D.
-
Well thats the strange thing about it, I have just changed: Blue temp sensor, Coil,Rotor Arm/cap, HT-Leads the filter is new'ish and the Lambda Probe. I could change the plugs but they must only have about 3.5K on them from what you say it seems like it may be a vacume leek....i hope D.

Runs better when the engine is hot, and runs better when on part throttle D.

Hello, When I put my foot down or when pulling out of a junction it kind of goes flat and does not seem to want to rev. Then it all seem fine it only tends to do this under load. Thanks D.

When the knock sensor on a VR or any car for that matter kicks in and retards the timing does it feel like the power is being held back and like the motor is bogging down? Thanks D.
