you can use white spirits on paintwork, but i would wash it well afterwards and then polish and wax it clay bar isn't hard to do and i would say very hard to badly damage the paint with

  7. Mine is a 1995 and came with a sony headunit as standard, but i changed it for something modern, i don't think putting an old stereo back in is going to add any sort of value to the car, be it money or enjoyment
  8. its expensive for what it is, am sure someone could quite easily make one if they had the right tools etc.
  9. i'd be up for one, just fixed mine with the VW clip, but don't feel too confident in it. maybe a group buy would be a good idea, i'm suprised there isn't a better European distributor, what happened to strictlydubs?

  12. i think its just a photoshop of the red one, if you look at the rear lights and roof moulding you can see they have more yellow than it should :)

  16. 1st time on mine the metal brass coloured trumpet bit came loose and fell off the end of cable, this time the clip that hold the outer sheath of the cable to the bonnet release handle has snapped. managed to get bonnet open yesterday without breaking anything, but struggling to fit new cable outer sheath. i have such a list of bits to do, i'm considering taking my dashboard out so i can sort out the mess know as the fusebox :(

  21. hahahaha, the bit i didn't fit back then decided to snap yesterday, so i now have bonnet stuck again  typical, i should of fitted the whole cable last time round. at least i have the bits i need sitting around. ---------- Post added at 02:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:01 PM ---------- this gruvenparts one looks good, just the sort of thing i was dreaming up. might get that instead, is there a UK supplier? i think i got all my other bits from strictly dubs
  22. deleting loads of my apps, including this one, they all seem to annoy me, work one day, not the other, i hate technology sometimes. app market and smart phones seem like a crock of ****e to me, great for the 1st few weeks i had it, now i'm just carrying around a phone twice the size of phones from 5yrs ago ??
  23. mine has always been pretty naff, when i bought the car the owner did say it needed regassing, but i hardly use aircon anyway. think i'm decided now that i am going to remove it all when doing steering rack
