  1. yes, if you can get a drop ring spanner, with a big drop you can just use that. i've nicked the same spanner off a plumber three times now for that job :lol:
  2. i've used some double sided foam type tape, is about 3mm thick, 10mm wide.

  5. has the fob got a slider switch on the side, make sure that is all the way down or up and not sitting in the middle. i had a load of head scratching just because i'd knocked that switch

  10. i was told by someone on here back when i did mine that you couldn't buy them from VW, or you have to buy the whole caliper or carrier to get them. would be interested to know the answer you get.

  16. dug my stickers out today, i've been an idiot and left them in the typed letter and the black ink from the letter has stuck to the stickers :lol: what is safe to try and clean that with? white spirits etc? i tried a bit of spit, but didn't work
  17. yeah, i will probably wait until the weather is a bit warmer. whereabouts does the sealant run? is it something that cut be cut with a blade as you pull them off?
  18. i think the only way to treat my rust appearing on arches would be to remove them a mate said i'd never get them back on looking the same. Is that true? whats involved with removing them and refitting?
  19. still not had mine setup since i got them on, haven't even got the heights equal (no wonder it handles abit odd) :lol: when i do get round to having them done, i'm asking for as low as possible without the wishbones becoming inverted, then the rear to match
  20. i honestly think most alloys look better in silver.... grey or black looks ok for a while just because its different, but really silver looks the best all the time, adds a touch of class
  21. i didn't get a name or code for the colour, i asked him to get as close as possible to the centre cap, but i also had the caps sprayed too.
