  1. the calipers are all off the car and in pieces, all nicely cleaned up and painted, i was going to put them all back together then put on car, do you need to fix carrier to the caplier then fit to car, or fit carrier to car first? thanks for the reply, think i'll be fitting it all at weekend
  2. i spose all the corrado owners with the standard ride height will be alright in the floods
  3. oh dear thats not good, that must be a nightmare, i'm in no rush really
  4. how are you meant to get the pistons back in?, these are front brakes btw do you need a special tool for the fronts? is the rewind tool just for the rears? any tips? can i use brake fluid as a lubricant?
  5. Not at all, Here is what comes with every membership pack although this example is minus the welcome letter as i dont have one to take a picture of. And many other benefits besides, some of which have been mentioned before! :grin:DSC00607.JPG[/attachment:i6yp2tga]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSC00611.JPG[/attachment:i6yp2tga] when do we get this?
  6. your catching me up!! not much in it now i forgot about it again this weekend, seem to be averaging around 60points now, where i started off nearer 100 :(
  7. no, i bet we didn't see one, and we didn't see one
  8. lol, i was out with a friend today, went to the LRO show in peterborough and just as we set off i bet my mate we don't see another corrado at all during the day, parked, driving etc i won!
  9. or if i bought 4, would anyone want to buy the fronts?
  10. can they be purchased in pairs rather than all four? i'm thinking i want to drop the back of my car to -60mm now, as its quite uneven after fitting a -40mm kit, hoping it will level things out and improve the handling a bit. even better does anyone have any springs they want to sell?
  11. just looking at the starter motor section in the bentely manual and there's a warning about it which puts me off, same as must things  its says something about the starter motor installation requiring precise alignment of the engine, the following procedure will cause this components to shift position unless an engine support is used? but the rest looks quite easy, just unbolting it
  12. very helpful post there 8) is it very involved getting the starter motor off, i don't even know where it is  if its as simple as lube needed then its going to be ace, everyone hates that noise and i get a bit embarrassed sometimes as everyone looks around and they probably think "ropey old car" they're probably right though
  13. so is it a starter motor i need? or are there other bits?
  14. yeah the car starts and then the noise happens. well i guess its confirmed what was suspected, i bet these parts cost a fortune from VW  i might just leave it :norty:
  15. not sure? its done its nearly every time i started the car since i bought it, which is 2 years now and probably started at least 5 times a day
  16. ever since i've had my car it makes a funny groiny noise when you start it, it reminds me of when you try to start a car thats already running. A mate says its my starter motor overrunning or something about a solenoid. I don't know much about what goes on in a starter motor etc its never been a problem, car starts but always makes this noise, which i'm told is annoying my friend neighbours when i leave his house late at night. would it need a new starter motor?
  17. Still, it doesn't worry some people. Some guy in scotland had these two delivered last week :! very jealous!
  18. looking at the name of seller and other items he is selling i'm sure he was selling a corrado back when i was looking for one, am sure i remember it parked by that house
  19. did it launch the air filter at the headlight? or am i being silly in not seeing one?
  20. i had konis on my last car and found them to be pretty damn stiff and a bumpy ride, then again i have the weitec ones now and they seem really crashy too (also have pi springs) maybe its the springs, i don't know
  21. i sprayed some damp start on mine when it was sparking and forgot to turn engine off, and i ended up with a flame thrower and brown pants
  22. what are these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-REAR-BRAKE-CA ... 286.c0.m14 are they a copy of the VW ones? the wording makes me think they are VW ones?
  23. coolant is very poisonous isn't it? i try not to even let it stay on my hands for very long
