round hole on vr engine block with major oil leak
Rob Heath replied to adamukcorrado's topic in Engine Bay
You dont want to be gettin any swarf in the engine either. Not done a core plug before, maybe weld a bolt onto it (if possible) and get a socket onto it. When weldin, only do short bursts (tacking) as this should stop the heat warping the plug/surrounding area -
Gutted for you mate If only everthin in life was as reliable as a VW

(Yesterday) Firstly, I did a Full service including oil (Morris Fully Synthetic 10W50), oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and G40 Spark plugs. Secodly, I replaced the Charger oil feed pipe, new banjo bolts and washers Thirdly, I did the boost return mod (What a mad noise this makes, but i miss the whistle that the charger used to make, so may put it back to standard!) Finally, I fixed my passenger door handle (Cheers Dave 16V)

G60 lightened fly wheel??? what you think??
Rob Heath replied to iow_corrado_g60's topic in Engine Bay
Is the golf and corrado G60 flywheel the same?? -
IMO, I think 15's are too small on a corrado. They look a bit lost, unless you drop it right on its arse to fill the arch gap and then its too low to be useable Id go for 16's mate

A must for all those trashy lottery winners -
I would also say around 15 seconds. To put it in perspective, my friend has a mk2 golf with a 2.9 VR out of a rado, standard apart from a 6 branch manifold and he was runnin 14.6 @ the pod on sunday, but a mk2 is obviously a bit lighter than a corrado
