its a good idea to have a m8 holding the wheel as you do it up. Do not use the Steering locking thingy ( whats the word cant remember ). I buggered the top half of my column in my MK2 Golf using it

So what your sayiung Yandards some little buggers are eating out fuel and then as a way of thanks taking a quick dump in are fuel tanks.

Mine failed about the same time last year, and choose to do the same as you Neil. 1. Went to the stealers and asked how much? 2. Sat down quickly before they told me 3. Worked out how to tell my 2 year old boy lapland was snowed under this year and we would not be able to go.

i have managed to get hold of a late dash, which with a bit of plastic welding be able to fit in the old switches ( as they seem to br bloody expensive on ebay). Then i will be changing the lighting of the heater panel to blue to match all of my other lighting and switches. I can see the Fag lighter being deleted as I want to give up this xams plaus nobody has managed to change the colour to blue yet. I beleive that the only thing that i will require will be VR6 style cables for the air flow direction and hot and cold to allow them to attache to the new heater panel, And also the connector from a passet i hope!!!!!! for the fan speed.

go for it stan. Think of it as a christmas present for your C. The DDI clocks are great.

dinkus when you say the middle bracket do you mean the middle part which has the blower controls.

Managed to get hold of a late dash and all the panels for my early G60. Question 1 Are all of the mounting holes for the dash the same early to late Question 2 I am going to have to find all new late switches, Are passat ones about K M reg the same? Question 3 ( No Air Con ) I am going to change the matrix at the same time as the dash will be out. Is there any difference between the matrixs for early / late ? length of cables to heater controls / different type of connections?? Question 4 Are the connectors on the back of all of the late switches a different design from the early connectors. Cheers Woody

Heater matrix re-call valve part Number
woody replied to C. Will Corrado G60 2's topic in Engine Bay
Sorry Heere you go. I got it from my local VW steeler only a couple of weeks ago and they got it pretty quickly. So there must be some stock somehere Part No 191 819 911 A Valve Cheers Woody -
The adjustors are £7 from vag i seem to remember, All of the sets which 16vG60 sourced came with side to side adjustment but not height adjustment. The electric adjustment can be used from a passat and also the switch for the erly C. Not sure about the switch in the late C.

Ray does MOTs and servicing and i think would be quite happy to entertain a VR6 remap. Give him a ring or pop down there. He only works monday to Friday mind you. But I have rung him gone six in the evening and he is still there.
-
ray charges £45 an hour labour. I paid £550 in the end as it took nearly two full days where originally ray said to me that it would be about £400. Although more expensive than certain chips (off the shelf) A cutom map is always going to be a closer match to how the engine is performing. Ray has 17 years experience in the tuning profession, runs a 610bhp Porsche which scared the life out of me and also is the Nobel Appointed tuner in the south of england. He deals with Mercs, Nobels, Audi VW Porsche and builds race cars for people. When I was there the second time there was a Cupra R stripped down having a role cage fitted, Goodness knows what was in the engine bay but it was huge. Yep John was there with me to drop me home in case my car did not make it and also to ask Ray about mapping his 16v Westfield.
-
yep john was pleased, of course it does not come close to his 16vG60 version, but i am very pleased and would reccommend ray to anyone looking for a custom map and john for his knowhow on the Corrado

I would like one of these, put me doen for one

Sorry Darren No graph of the air-fuel plot and boost as ray has them on on guages within the car as he is running it up. If I get time tonight and its not to dark i will try to check the boost figure with the MFA thingy.
