Yeh they are light as hell, didn't notice much difference when lugging them and the speedlines about. They are second choice but I love them so much now i've got them i'm not so sure anymore! I still want the speedlines though just out of principal!!

I like the chrome mirrors on the grey, looks good.

Thanks guys, i'm really pleased with them. Amazing how much more brake clearance there is over the speedlines, it was a pretty tight fit on them but the 288s are dwarfed by the Comps! They do look good with the green but I reckon most wheels look awesome on your car kev, especially the speedlines.. 8) Only took the car for a quick drive down the road but i'll properly 'test' out the wheels tomorrow and report back differences. It is looking like coilovers are the way forward, wish I got konigsports to begin with really. If i'm going to upgrade now though I might as well go for H&Rs or something similar, that's a few months away though!

Not Nick's Speedlines though! (yet) I've fallen for a new love in kev's Compomotive MO's. Never seen them in the flesh but a few choice pics did it for me so I decided to take the plunge and they turned up today. Managed to fit them before my girlfriend got home and she hasn't noticed! What she'll make of the big speedline shaped pile in the garage is another thing though... The Comp's are really light weight, look seriously sexy but not to blingy, nice and OEM+, not to disimilar to the Storm wheels (name escapes me). I definately prefer the look of 16's to 15's and can't really see myself going back right now. Another bonus is that kev has only had them a few months from brand new so they are in perfect condition with rainsports all round. So here's the pics will be interested in your comments. The ride height is slightly to high for my liking but i'm looking to get that sorted in the near future, spring caps at the front for a start. Also need to lower the circlip on the rear struts a notch or two. Cheers Trig

Everyone has to go bigger eventually... :)

Managed to bodge it so I could drive to work, need to come up with a repair though. Basically all I need is the part with the green arrows and the other bit that looks like a brake spanner. I can get the spanner bit next day but it's the other one he's going on about. I might try another dealer.

Thread re-resurection. Linkage broke thismorning... (I should be at work now but i'm not driving in the rain!) Tried to order new parts but when I gave him the part no. for the bit at the top of the page with green arrows he got a strange message. He said last time he saw that message it took months to get the parts! Nice. And to top it all off in the process of trying to bodge it back together I managed to chip some paint off my wing! Really good start to the day

Did you say anything to her Phil?

http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... ange_-_VR6 That's the guide for the VR, think it's the same on a valver..?

They certainly look the business mate. 'bout the same price as the H&R's as well?

Pic in my sig is 40mm on speedlines. 15's lowered does look mean. EDIT: Just realised i've drawn lines all over it so not much use!

I bet they're practical if you drive down a lot of backstreets!

My sister in law has a red S with union jack flag, well nice and stupendously small. Not had a go in it yet...

That expansion tank looks rather like an alembic pot still used to make some vodka... Get pissed much where you live...? ;)

Yup, this is why hardly any of us do external mods (minor ones maybe), because it looks so right in the first place!

Quickest car you've been in, owned and most interesting....
Trig replied to NickVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Fastest i've driven would be a M3 chipped and tuned to about 390BHP - That was quick. Fastest i've owned is by VR. Nice avvy Nick :thumbleft: -
Anyone made their own switchblade key with an OE immobiliser

What about other alarm manufacturers? How do you go about programing it? -
Prefer Carpy's picture TBH. I'm sure under the bonnet it is a great car but the bodykit is borderline criminal.

I think -Neil- did a DIY alloy refurb recently. Do a search, he posted up pics and methods he used.

Looks lovely Jay, can see why you sold the rado now! D'ya know what insurance group it is?

I want one. ']['H3R4POR, fancy doing a little wiki guide? -
Yeh right, you happened to park next to it I reckon!

Get a VAG-COM plugged in and see if you get any error codes. Could be lambda if you're overfueling. I might add that my exhaust pops sometimes but my car definately isn't overfueling.

Yup Radostormvr6 had to shave a bit off his calipers to fit them under BBS RC's (16's). RC's are a very similar design to RX's so they are probably the same.
