  3. Will give them a ring and see if they can mail me some...
  4. Anyone know the cheapest place to get Dynamat hoodliner online? I need to replace my sponge as it's falling to pieces, might as well do it with something that isn't going to fall apart in the future!
  5. ...and the parcel shelf..! :) Very nice pictures :thumbleft:
  6. That's what I was thinking.. :) I wonder (does anyone remember) if they did a cut down version of it for a TV ad? Impressive stuff. My favourite bit is the weaving inbetween each other.
  7. That's about 17lbs which is pretty light yeah, are they 16's or 17's?
  8. Could even be the cable rattling around, mine does, just need to tape or clip it back
  9. Looks ok from the front but need to see the all important 'rear shot' before commenting any more... Supercharged, your avatar is really putting me off my breakfast! :pukeright:
  10. Yeah! Compare it to the Phaeton factory.. they are worlds apart!
  11. So it looks rusty etc. do you mean? I believe they call it 'ratty'...
  12. Simon, you should pop along to our next SW meet seeing as your local (next one probably Newquay area) i'm sure you'll get a few sales (can't guarantee it though!) - we had about VW 40 owners at the meet on Sunday.

Probably one of the slower 1.8s then, no? I've driven my old bosses 1.8T and it was so different to drive I couldn't work out whether it was faster or not! Not sure what the BHP was on that one though..
  15. I'm not paying over £2 a litre for anything thanks very much! Cider is cheaper than that!
  16. I have to say, I reckon I wasn't far off 340 when my car was overfueling! So either i'm very light on the throttle or you guys are very heavy... and Zippy, i've seen your service station driving!
  17. I'll fill her up tomorrow and commence testing... If it turns out my MFA readings are right it'll be a big selling point for OBD2! Get those looms whilst you can people! :)
  18. andy, I didn't say i'm getting 44MPG, 39 at best. If my full tank figure was out I apologise... Walesy, yeah the car was overfueling but I never got more than 34MPG before the ECU packed up. I don't think an extra 5MPG is that unthinkable, especially when you experience how smooth the car feels. As I said I appeared to have an extra 1/8 tank (roughly 2 gallons) on the return journey. Before OBD2 on my overfueling VR 250 miles would be 9 gallons of fuel (28MPG) now 250 miles is more like 6.7 gallons = roughly 1/8 of a tank extra. I've just done 40 miles in her today and the needle has hardly moved. I should also add that apart from the odd high rev overtake I drive around in 5th gear all the time, even over roundabouts etc. :)
  19. No, but I think that is probably the next thing to do... I do know that on the way up to Stealth I put £40 in on a 1/8 full tank and when I got there I was left with a 1/8 full tank. On the way back down I put another £40 in and I was left with 1/4 of a tank whn I got home - So that all adds up. I know it isn't a very accurate way to judge how much fuel i'm using as the needle fluctuates a lot depending on hills etc. but i'm pretty sure i'm putting less fuel in the car at the moment! I'll report back any more findings! :)
  20. RW1 will know, just need to wait for him to turn up with the answer ;)
  21. gaz, PMSL, that's brilliant! PiercedWinky, i'm boggled by it too...! young dub, thanks - no still using standard fogs, they seem to be lasting quite well!
  22. I don't like it, mainly the paint putting me off...

    Nice...

    Are those wheels 18's?
  24. TBH it does sound to good to be true but... On the convoy blast back from Widemouth Bay today (we weren't hanging about) I got 37.2MPG!!! I wouldn't believe it but the fuel needle seems to be backing it up, it is definately using less fuel! :D Yeh, should be more like £60 for a tank.. I never fill her up really so it's all theoretical.
  25. Dude, those wheels look soooo frickin sweet. Where can I get some and how much will it cost...!
