Hmm, i've got this problem but 4 works and none of the others do (same as Phil). Just been out and given all the contacts a good clean and bent the copper in a bit - still no joy. Contact is definately being made properly but no blow except on 4. ...Any Ideas?

Thanks for the link. Think I will go darker than that, almost black but still noticably green.. if thats possible. I'd also go for the same throughout. Looking like its going to have to be a professional job, and they are not cheap... EDIT: With black piping, will make the green look greener! I want it now!

Didn't think that was exclusive to storms... http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... ight=storm

I very much doubt AA/RAC check your bore wear and timing chains. Buying off the forum is a good idea (often you can see a lot of the cars history from the members gallery) and I don't think you will pay much more at all. :D

Anyone got green leather, would love to see some pics! If I get leather i'm going to stick with the green theme methinks but never actualy seen any!

I bought my VR 6 months ago for £3800, totally standard. Started modding it, new exhaust (old one knackered), alarm (old one knackered), custom mats, personal touches etc. soon to have KoniTA's/H&R springs. All this modding will have cost me well over £1000 but now i'm seeing VR's for sale with all the mods I plan on doing for the same price I paid for mine 6 months ago! Is it just me or have prices REALLY dropped in the last few months? I've seen VR's (standard) for sale for less than £3000 with sensible miles on them & sometimes leather! If you ask me it really isn't worth selling such a great car for so little money, even if you are hard up. y car is definately worth more to me than anyone would pay for it. And while we're on the subject does anyone reckon the prices will start going back up? Good examples are becoming rarer and there is a lot of talk of 'future classic'...?

Suprised there aren't a lot more cars up there now...

LOL didn't take much to change your mind mate! ;) -
Well the solution is obvious, he needs a trailer with a load of petrol in it...

Excellent, love their long races accross countries. Does the Veyron run on standard unleaded?! Bet its got considerably more power under the bonnet than whatever they fly in!

The V6'll be the VR6 Golf won't it? Its 170bhpish isn't it?

Thanks for the suggestion but i've tried 'the 'ol sea dog' and he was slightly more expensive :|

You can get the bentley manual pretty cheap on CD can't you?

Thanks fo the idea chubby.. I can borrow my bros pug and get on the policy only problem is this.... Reason i'm changing insurance company is because DL won't cover me for mods, the SS exhaust I have I can get away with but in two weeks i'm going away for the weekend and dropping in at Stealth to get...well... dropped (Koni TA's/H&R's). As soon as my shocks & springs are fitted my policy is invalid. Now I could risk driving the C all the way back to cornwall technicaly uninsured then whack her in the garage for a couple of weeks until the 5 yr anniversary of me passing my test then get the new (cheaper) insurance policy. If the worst did happen would they really invalidate my policy? ...Or I could just forget about it all and just get my new policy all sorted for the Stealth trip and drive safe in the knowlege that I am defianately fully insured. The saving on the insurance would be a nice chip of the price of the suspension set up. ;)

Trying to get a new insurance policy because it turns out that Direct Line don't cover under 25's for modifications. Elephant seem to be the next cheapest @ £925 for the year fully comp. with 2y NC. But.... I can save myself almost £100 on the quote (making it £829) by 'bending the truth'....! I got my license on 12th December 2001, meaning I have had it 4 years 11 months this saturday - but if I put down the next option (5+ years) the quote is reduced by £95!! Now I know its really risky telling lies but it's quite a bit of cash (that could go towards future mods) to save. So the plan I thought of was to get insured on the 'honest' £925 policy then cancel it after a month (after only one months payment) and then renew it again for the whole year with my then 5+ yrs license and pay less! Does anyone know anywhere that I can get a months insurance or if I would have problems canceling a 12 mont policy? Or shall I just forget it and pay the extra!?

Ouch mate, thats bad. 4 cars is pretty unlucky. Good luck with sorting it out and maybe you should take up bowling! ;) -
Bugger. Just phoned up direct line to let them know I would be 'lowering' my car in 2 weeks and they told me I couldn't because i'm not over 25. Infact they won't accept any mods for under 25's! So beware everyone. My insurance is invalid if I do it without telling them. Norwich union are apparently the same. Now i'm getting new quotes and elephant is looking like the cheapest, but it's £150 more than my direct line policy...

Something similar to me. Fan works fine on 1 & 4 but 2 & 3 are the same as 1! Again, all the exit positions are fine and there is plenty of heat. I don't really mind it much cos 4 is still powerful if I need it.

More entertaining than the video probably ;)

Yes, if someone with zebra seats beat me in a race that would be even worse! :)

I'm with Zippy. If someone wants to come round and teach me a bit by showing me how to change my timing chains and guides that that would be much appreciated! I would love to learn how to build an engine but as stinkus said, mine is somewhat needed atm. Fair play to anyone who can do it but I think in most instances they must have learnt how to (or at least some of it) of someone else... who wants to show me?!

Check your plugs are all sparking, sounds like one of them isn't to me.

Hmmm, I was 'going fast' t'other day and my wipers just stopped working, wasn't until i slowed down that they started again!
