More vibration since installing new rear engine mount?
sciroccotune replied to sciroccotune's topic in Engine Bay
sorry guys should have said, Yes its the drivers side but its just a GSF oe spec rubber mount and the front is a rubber one from ECP. It really annoying, I mean in fairness my old rear mount could be compressed by had so was totally fooked, but the extra vibration is just annoying. Its just one of those things that makes the car less refined if you know what I mean edit: but i know what you guys mean about after market types, i tried them but got sick after a few weeks -
Since installing my new rear engine mount (i did the front last month) there has been noticeably more vibration in the car. The car feels better as in the drive and gear change but on idle there is more cabin vibration - it is only really noticeable on idle. My guess is that i may have to loosed all the mounds and push the engine about a bit to settle its position? What ya think? :D :?

hey dude, loving the car as always! you think you could do me a favor? take a picture just after you have used the single wiper so i can see the area of the screen it covers by the mark left. :-D

i have always left it 2 weeks, just to on the safe side really.

i dont use mine, i took it off once a while back and may have lost it, it not all that important so dont worry :)

head gasket leaking exhaust gases into coolant system
sciroccotune replied to kop10320178's topic in Engine Bay
its best to, unless you can do the work yourself. Dont want to pay for its all only to find it needs doing again. It could well be fine but its the risk you have to take, up to you :) -
you hane a 16v im guessing, oh just seen your sig so you do. In that case it goes over the driverside head light rear, helps seal the airbox intake to the back of the light, if you know what i mean. have a look you will see. Or if not it looks very simmilar to that bit

as mr g60greeny says... Nice cars at the end of the day :-)

Bikers Secret Code...... also a Corrado Secret Code.....
sciroccotune replied to -Neil-'s topic in General Car Chat
yep i alwasy wave, it can scear some drivers that dont realise what their C is...not just a car lol -
they will work, but the arms still need bending to get enough pressure on the screem (the later arms seem better) corrados are 18" or you can fit 19" but maybe 18 are better suited to the shape of the screen. I have use some of these, and the do work well with a good set of arms. Worth looking into normal lupo arms for these too

I’m really considering this, maybe its juts the nice summer weather talking but I think it would be fab! Could use it for all kinds of holidays, I could take the dogs and my bike, not sure that the dogs could be trusted as they are a bit crazy but hey…. I Think ill try a few quotes for a t25 over the next few weeks. Wish I could go for an older style but they are just so stupidly expensive!

IM fairly sure mine face out, i dont have the car with me to check however. is your car lowered then cos my car had loads of space between the wish and arb.

sciroccotune replied to CoxyLaad's topic in Members Gallery
i can vouch for CoxyLaad's progress, since i picked up a few parts from him the car seems to be facing a different direction  But seriously it looked a hell'o'job, keep it going mate! :-) -
chris we should bring that back , it was top :-)
-
sorry to hi jack this guys (but im going to anyway :)) What is the insurance like on these? lower than a corrado? Im thinking about moving into the slowlane and getting a van :)
-
could just be dirty sensors/rings, give them a blow with compressed air or the like. I guess it could also be a sensor on the way out... but my bet is dirt, being magnetic the collect loads of crap!

200 to 20 pounds is good, i thik i have got the highest mpg in a while in my 2l with about 300 -320 to 40 pounds, combined driving. my bet id g60 to
-
aren’t they normally cheaper than that? I would sat they may well be a bit brighter as many corrados suffer from poor reflective surfaces in the lights. However there is every reason to use them along with an up rated loom as its so cheap and easy.
-
hello mate, im not really to sure but i would say that if it was a 256 you should be fine, they just use gold mk3 parts right? (bump :D )

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
sciroccotune replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
fitted rear engine mount, messed about and changed the oil press. gauge. should have one for sale soon... -
I have done both front and rear on stands, it easy as long as the bolts arnt rotted... which minw were not and space isnt to bad, probs easier with an 8v. If you think you are ok with mech stuff you should be fine :-)

Normally both marks, depends which one you want to use. i always use tdc and therefore set the gun to 6deg or what ever. edit: i believe that the red and black wire needs to be removed but there is some controversy over this point.
