is it legal? i was of the understanding that hid needed headlight washers etc... great mod however, corrados really need more light!

could possible come on for a second, but isnt likely. as long as you put oil back in and make sure the filter is in and sealed again all will be well, not much can go wrong. just use teh right oil... :-)
-
if you pump the peddle whilst there is no fulid in the res you will blow the seals on the master C. also how did you bleed them, it can be done wrong and also you have to clamp off the bais valve on teh back etc. if you have abs i find its best to do it with the ignition on but the car not running.

whats the deal with the red leds anyway? when do they come on etc....looks a good one BTW
-
mine is just crap at lower levels, have no idea why but it surely doesnt help! and happy Bday bcstudent

yeah i saw that - i was thinking it was odd, i mean all of the forum dont hate him/his car - for example i was undecided  As for the mag, its ok but i wouldn’t say that any of the vw mags are consistently good which is why i pick and choose..
-
nope, its often a case of what ya got is normal  early 2l were a bit of a cross over..mine is the same

jbl ones (the oval shaped jobs) do teh job nicely..... i may even have some for sale - ill have a look
-
sounds right based on my 16v too (well between 7-10 depends on the temp really)
-
looks good mate, i have photos i can put up but how will you want us to do it? upload our own or send to you? edit: you could maybe add a 'past cars' section as its always interesting to see where we have come from, well imo

Just posted this on cgti so her it is for continuity  there is no vag 288 4 stud disc, i think tsr used to use rover 4 stud discs with their conversion a while back. Anyway so by the time you have put 5 stud hubs in surely you would have been better off going for wide track and therefore not having to redrill discs every time you change them etc.... you would probs even find a rat you could get everything from in a scrappers. I do have one question on this however - if the 5 stud hub will fit into the 16v hub assembly using the same bearing why will this not give the correct offset? __________________

cat really help with the mfa situation, do the clocks remember total miles and do the clock and total milage stay on with the ign off? anyway as for whooosh..... you will need to do some mechanical work here to get much out of a 2l8v. More money you got the more power, but realistically you should look at a higher lift cam and maybe a chip. Work like porting and polishing of the head is always worth Hp but is more expensive...... Think GradeAfailure on here used to run a piper cam and a chip in his Rat.... Its also worth making sure its setup well - static timing and ign timing etc (edit: sounds like it is if you are not haveing any problems and its smooth etc)

i have made a choice - gotta be Oettinger

ok coolieo..... well if anyone can put up an etka pic so i could get the part number (and an idea of shape as i may try and make the thing) that would be great! thanks for the help so far guys :-) edit - sounds good Riley, well i mean to say sounds easy!
-
cool, so basically its just bolted on via the holes in the spoiler, like that one you can see in your second pic? this doesnt sound that hard :-)
-
im thinking that there is a bit of metal sandwiched between the bumper and the spoiler. My car had never had a spoiler so im just checking what’s needed before my new one arrives So I don’t really know what im looking for but thats sounds promising :-)
-
as above please chaps An etka pic would be cool if anyone can help out, also normal pictures would help (i think that the VW program is called ETKA isn't) cheers :D
-
tuff choice, im not gonn vote just yet. i think you should pout a rim on if you have them yet and see what they are like on the car - those speed lines are a good rim so could be hard to beat

my brothers has done this, never noticed any connection with the radio mind. check out the little metal box at the back of the engine near where the TB would be on a g60. i just pushed it down and all seemed well, there is some electrical giggy under it..... his is a 1.2 16v btw
