  1. Very nice :D Not 100% accurate, but fantastic nonetheless 8) The real badges have a bevelled edge and the characters aren't quite so spaced apart  Is it easy to get them painted black + red like the real ones?
  2. worth a 10 for sure: http://www.ismycarhotornot.co.uk/275.htm
  3. There's on old trick - which sounds bonkers but actually works - to boost the signal from the keyfob. Hold the keyfob to some part of your body (I've found the neck is usually best  ) and then press the button. It seems to boost the signal from the fob by about double. Dont ask me how, I have absolutely no idea :?: This has helped me out in the past when the battery was low in the fob.
  4. ** UPDATE ** For all those that have ordered from Rimstyle.. Apparently the stuff is gonna be sent out Weds/Thurs  Don't hold me to that, it's just what I've read: http://www.edition38.com/board/viewtopi ... &start=195 http://www.edition38.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=7858
  5. I asked Trimsport if they would make replica badges, their response was "sure, if you're willing to pay £500 for the inital mould..." Then again, it would only take 5 copies to be sold on ebay before making your money back
  6. I've taken mine off, and made 2 duplicates (only half done at the moment) using fibreglass. Need to paint + sand em now... I'll post some pics once I'm done
  7. Mine's like that too, 1995 model. I asked the same question on here too, and everyone said that's just how they are :)
  8. Henny, what tracker do you have? Sounds like a worthwhile investment to me 8)
  9. Anyone here received their coilovers yet? I ordered mine at the end of feb, money was taken on March 11th, still havent got them... :x
  10. Sound about right, I'm sure you cant use your NCB on *any* classic car policy
  11. So you sue the 3rd party, or their insurers? It would be the 3rd party's insurers that refuse to pay up, surely? And legal costs would no doubt be horrendous if you were to go to court
  12. The $tealers charge £50 to re-program the key
  13. What day was this? There were a couple of DeLoreans over the weekend at the classic car show @ Ally Pally One of em was done up (badly) to look like the back to the future car
  14. I went to the $tealers today to order a couple of these stiker bolts - only about £2.70 each inc VAT.
  15. http://www.nerocam.com/SCC_TAPnew.asp :D
  16. Would a lambda sensor problem show up on VAG-COM? Had my car checked about 6 months ago, no error codes at all :?
  17. I'm lucky to get 22mpg around town, in traffic :| Can get 30mpg on a steady run on a motorway at about 70-80mph Mosty I've ever seen was 35mpg the day I picked the car up (well i was driving like a granny  )
  18. I always thought that VW proably blocked the top 2 to stop pikeys putting their hands through to pull on the bonnet release cable.. Even though they could just yank the grille off if they wanted  I bought a new grille from GPC recently - all slats open - but I havent seen any change in my engine temps :?
  19. Thanks Andy, Must get my solitudes refurbed now...
  20. Thats what I thought, so I called him back - definately Silverline X; height & damping adjustable He said £550 for em, + about 12.50 delivery, so £562 in all
  21. Ordered myself the Silverline X's 8) Be quick folks, the offer runs out soon
  22. Hmm I've been considering putting mine back on, following a full respray :? I'd rather have some sort of protection, even if the strips are rather low.. But then again I dont ever intend to take the car to a car park :D
