  1. It won't affect your no-claims and you won't have to pay an excess, but your insurance premium will probably go up when you inform your insurance company. :(
  2. The plug that goes into the gearbox broke on mine - cable ties worked until I recently changed the box. My 94VR has both reverse lights illuminated from the factory (car registered in Guernsey originally). O/T I've also popped out the blank and put in a bulb in the blanked off fog light bit, so have both fogs illuminated too.
  3. Lambda faulty - wiring broken ISV needs cleaning TPS faulty Broken/not seated ht leads Worn out plugs Blue temp gauge faulty Air leak few things to go at :)
  4. My heater direction control knob gear broke yesterday - I've got the bit of plastic that broke off - has anyone successfully repaired one of these gears? I was thinking about using superglue to hold the broken bit in, then filling in the big gap next to it with epoxy resin/J B weld. Anyone done this and has it worked? I'm also looking for a replacement non-broken one :)
  5. My heater direction knob gear has finally broken - grrrrr. Has anyone got one that's unbroken? Don't really want the whole heater control assembly, just the gear wheel - the one where the two metal arms go into. Many thanks :)
  6. You should give her to me so I can do a full restore on her Good luck with whatever you decide :)
  7. Try pressing and holding the fob until the little light on it goes out. I have to do that on mine every once in while, like it needs resyncing or summat. edit - mine's not a Laserline (It's the Scorpion) but it's still worth a go :)
  8. I thought the rules on levelling and washing systems was such that they have to work IF FITTED so if you have HIDs and levelling and washing systems fitted they must work, but if those two systems are not fitted, it's not a problem. I'd be happy to be shown to be wrong though - aftermarket HID kits on non-projector lenses are just poo and blind everyone. Reflector lenses are just not designed for HIDs
  9. There's no fuse in that relay, it's just what it's rated at - ie, if you try and draw 60 amps through it, it'll melt. You still need a 30 amp fuse :)
  10. Looks great- I'd need an all red one with a blue section for the cold bit on the heat setting - is that a possibility? Cheers :)
  11. If you put up your location then a local member might be willing to see if you can fit/get in and out of their car.
  12. Yay - new 'rado owner :thumbleft:

  16. Hi Tom - I have sourced one just a few miles away, so I'm sorted now, but many thanks :)
  17. Tom - many thanks but I may have sourced a local box - I'll keep you updated - thanks :)
  18. Cheers guys - looks like I may have sourced a local one, I'll keep this post updated :)
  19. Yeah - it's a daily. I'm probably going to get my local garage to do it - they can get it done in a couple of hours - I'll go shopping instead of scrabbing about under the car cursing and realising I don't have a crucial bit once it's all apart :)
  20. Hi Tom - I'm in Norfolk. I'll have to make a trip of it then - I'll pm you soon to sort summat out :)
  21. Hi mate - is the gearbox still available? Was it running ok before breaking - no crunches etc? Would you be willing to put on a half pallet and be in for collection if I arrange a courier? Many thanks - Tim
  22. Hi there - I'm interested in the gearbox. I can collect at a push, but I'm based in Norwich. If I was to arrange a courier would you be prepared to drain it, put it on a half pallet and have a courier collect it? Would you also be kind enough to pm me the first bit of your postcode so I can plan routes/costs etc? Ta. Please let me know - many thanks - Tim.
  23. My vr's gearbox is poorly - third gear is not happy - unless you ram it in it grinds and won't engage. New short-shifter fitted and cable replaced - bush good at gearbox end and all other gears ok (but a bit crunchy now and again) so I reckon the gearbox is ****ed. What boxes fit and where's the best place to get one? How easy is the swap? Is it a driveway jobbie or is a lift needed? Many thanks
