Ron - quick query - are you getting any rubbing on the plastic windscreen trim? The metal "C" bit of wire that connects the arm to the spring seems to be fouling mine slightly and wondered if it's the same for you? Cheers.

Nice one - thanks for the update matey :) :thumbleft:

Where did the spacer have to go - any chance of some pics matey? I assume it's a worthwhile thing to do if you're still rocking with original arms?

Don't most satnavs have camera locations these days? I'd be more tempted to concentrate more on not speeding tbh, especially seeing as your job kind of depends on you having a licence.

Eh?:shrug:My two children (4 and a half and 8 months) are always in the Corrado and have been from birth (daily driver and I'm a stay at home dad). Child no 2 came home from the hospital in it.

Woops - AMG Merc crash at the Trafford centre (Gumball 2014)

What an utter knob-sock. -
We have a Tesco own brand (it goes from built in straps, to using the seat belt to just a booster seat) for our 4 year old which fits fine. It was about £50 ish - I'll pop up a pic later.

The ones I bought were supplied with a new plastic backing, but I felt it wasn't as good as the original ones. With some very careful and gentle manipulation I was also able to remove the old glass from the old plastic backings and reuse the backings :)
-
Mine certainly has got heated mirrors. I bought some replacement slightly curved ones from ebay to replace them original ones - they give better visibility imho :) You should be able to *gently* prise out the mirrors that are there and see the wiring behind them. Be very careful as the plastic backing may be quite brittle by now. You can then run a multimeter over the wires to check there's current to them. They come on, as you've found out, with the rear screen demister. If you've got current then the heating element is fubar and you need new glass.

959 ugly? Nope - not a chance - you're talking b*ll*cks!!! It's got a nice big fat rear end which imvho is much nicer than the nasty tiny pinched in version that the 911 classic and 964 had

Nice one - cheers for the update - would be interested in pics at some point too!

What did you get in the end - I might be needing a decent set soon!

After a scare a couple of years ago (here) I bought this extinguisher http://www.screwfix.com/p/firechief-dry-powder-fire-extinguisher-1kg/45174 - it sits in the passenger footwell and is secured between the floormat and the centre hump/gearbox bit. It doesn't roll about, is quickly accessible and doesn't get in the way of passengers feet. I also keep a 10mm spanner in the driver's door pocket to remove the battery cable if needs be. -
I sprayed an old knackered one in matt black - looks pretty good (on a blackberry) :)
-
Did it have spotlights mounted in the radiator grill?

The handles are now obsolete from VW. When mine broke I delocked them by using rear handles off a B3 Passatt - I 'think' the front handles will work if you want to retain the keyhole, but someone else would need to confirm. I don't know if VW Heritage still do the orig handles though

Hi - I have the same part number 535 919 235 AA in my rado - I can't spare the time to get all the way to Marham this evening (middle of a house move :/), but I'd be happy to meet somewhere half way if that's any good to you?
-
Ok, ta for that. Not sure I want to remove the roof lining though - looks to be a right ballache :bonk:
-
Hmm - I have poured water down each channel and it drains out at the front and rear drain thingies near the wheels so I assume they're not blocked. This sealing idea - how's the best way to seal them, and where should I be sealing - any pics? Many thanks :)

I sometimes get wet nearside footwells if the car is parked on a slope - front if parked downhill and rear if parked uphill. It has to be utterly lashing it down too!!
