  1. oops! guess it depends what condition everything else is in but there are spare shells around or plenty of other Cs to go for too. if you're not too strapped for cash you're spoilt for choice really!

    porsche d90s

they will only be 5x130 so you need adaptors which will reduce your offset by 20-25mm. so if you start with an offset of ET50+ you'll end up with ET20something which will work
  3. yes they fit under the rears no problem but bear in mind that your spacesaver spare wont then fit over the fronts or the rears.. as for front rear bias thats what the bias valve is for and so it should be adjusted when you put the new brakes on.
  4. expect about an hour and a half/ 2hrs max
  5. yes, it can be done, i watched a garage do it for mine, takes a fair bit of patience and wiggling around though!
  6. looks ace, love the sticker shot :)
  7. yep, bought my Toyo R888s from there, no issues, good prices as you say!
  8. the mirror switches often corrode and just need taking apart and cleaning. not done mine yet though as apparently there are lots of tiny bits that can fly all over the place when you take them apart!
  9. hopefully it wont be but dont be surprised if its more than that, you're only 3 panels short of a full respray there which done reasonably would be 2k from most places. i paid more for bumper, slam, bonnet, 2 wings (one blended to door), 1 mirror, 1 door (blended to rear quarter) plus prep on the 2nd hand donor panels. that was in london though so bound to have been a bit more...
  10. wish those of us that didnt have xboxes could at least watch this live! it could make up for the lack of F1 in the off season :) looks amazing!
  11. sounds like a lot of fun Pete! cant blame you at all for not wanting to do any non-FWD cars clutch on the floor though! looks like it will be even more of a weapon when you're done with all your plans :)
  12. cant think of anything obvious if the flap is working. was it working previously but then it stopped? you say the chip came from stealth, have you called Vince to see if he has any ideas? I'm sure he'd be happy to talk it through with you.
  13. yeah, thats all gone a bit quiet hasn't it?
  14. i've got black fitted but dont have a pic unfortunately, can do one tomorrow morning. that said though, those ones above look great, i could certainly be tempted if i was deciding now.
  15. Tom, i've got a brand new pcv hose if you want..?
  16. £99 deal for the 150 pc set on again this weekend - good for doing heater matrixes with before winter!
  17. I'm sure Drewiee99 on here would be only too happy to your car out for around a third of that depending how bad it is. His thread is below and he's only a short hop along the M5 for you or him. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76387&start=0 or http://www.depthofshine.co.uk
  18. and they are good but its over £500 for a full set - you get what you pay for!
  19. you should stay with 50 profile with your 195 to keep your speedo etc semi accurate (205/50 is vr standard). if you want to buy new there is nothing that anyone will "recommend" for £250 - its just not enough for something good. if you can stretch a bit, the basic coilover set from weitec (actually front coils and adjustable height rear spring/damper) would be the nearest to recommended for about £330 but bear in mind that you should be replacing top mounts etc when you put on new suspension and this is another £100 or so whatever you go with. bilstein, gmax and spax are the only things that get near to your budget (looking at europerformances website for example) but none of them are very good quality or very comfortable by all accounts. spend £350 instead and be much happier!
  20. jesus, have you seen the price of the cars for sale on the vw cup site??? £19k for basically a Mk4 golf 4motion with lsd/6spd/paddleclutch/brembos and seam welding and a roll cage. maybe i'm being naive but i cant believe you couldn't recreate something with that spec for much less, or at worst the same cost. and usually you'd expect a discount on the cost to build, not a premium??
  21. sounds like you've made up your mind but it really isn't the best use of your money if that is something that has importance to you. see this thread from last week

    HIDs Q

yes, so he's telling you to put them on the equivalent of full beam using the stalk while on the sidelight setting of the switch.
