    Correct ET

"correct" all depends on the width (which you haven't mentioned) but I'm assuming they're 7s going on an Et of 37. Are the pics of your car? You have to try pretty hard to get 7s to rub so either they were on something smaller than a corrado or the tyres were too big and it was ridiculously low (tyres should be 205/40/17). The pics look just fine though and et37 is as it should be give or take, so unless they've rubbed since you've had them then I wouldn't worry.
  3. cant see an LC on their website apart from a 3 piece 15incher, what are these??!
  4. Mike (www.the-polisher.com) or Dav (www.pureklas.co.uk) are the 2 that most people use/talk about
  5. wiring is a bit of a job but as you have all thats necessary to do it it would be nice to have a 2.9 obd2 vr..

    Tyre help

well if the wheels are wider than normal and you run standard tyres then they'll be stretched, if you run narrower tyres then they'll just be more stretched? going 45 profile as well will throw out your speedo even more than 195/50 will. not sure anyone can give an answer on what to go for apart from you and how you want them to look?!
  7. I'm sorry, Alonso is still such a self-important, smarmy c*nt. Just felt the need to say that after his most recent spout of sh!te.. http://uk.reuters.com/article/idUKLDE61K05T20100221 how exactly does he know that everyone else has "shown their cards"? he just annoys the hell out of me and i hope the ferrari catches fire or something in the first race just to take him down a peg or two.
  8. given the idiosyncracies of every different engine, i dont think there is any predictably reliable way to suddenly improve emissions. either the tester is being a PITA or something in your engine has deteriorated over the last year that it will take you time and/or money to ascertain, neither of which you want. so, for now, i would suggest that you just buy/borrow a cat from a good natured person on here for your test, then return it to them when it's passed and worry about solving the problem then.
  9. Thread re-resurrection! 150pc set halfprice online again :)
  10. shopping maybe not his main aim with the project?!
  11. the german company is ARZ Tuning
  12. worrying point if its true.. glad you got it back though even if the police are being sh1t about it
  13. if not silver then just as dark as possible, but definitely not yellow (or obviously white) as it would make it look like a kids kit car.. imho of course
  14. from what I've heard vince say so far stage 2 would need little difference apart from stronger engine internals, as i understood it the turbo in this kit is capable of those levels with just higher levels of boost
  15. could be a good idea, any1 got an idea of the sort of price that racelgic kit is? the prices are on the link that Vince put in his post :salute:
  16. wheels have ET numbers, not hubs, so it depends what size the wheel is. ET is how far in or out a wheel sits in the arch (lower figure = further out). your reference on a VR6 corrado though is ET43 for a standard speedline, so if your wheel is the same size as a speedline then it wouldn't be a problem. if it was some huge 18x8 wheel then it would never go on. you need to look at a calculator like this with the sizes of your wheels http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html but the short answer is ET is measured in mm so a 10mm spacer would make an ET45 wheel into an ET35 wheel instead
  17. well, theres a whole new discussion thread in itself!
  18. i set up a forum discount with http://www.revotec.com/ but it was in the group buy area and seems to have been pruned now which is annoying :? but i think he had agreed to give us around 20-25% off so give them a call (ask for William) and see what he can do for you. I did this comparison with Spal fans to help people compare and choose at the time.

    288 v 312

dont bother with an upgrade from 288 to 312. an upgrade from 280 to either of those will be noticeable but not life-changing in the way that 4-pots will be.
  20. Who did you find the same bits from cheaper Andy?
  21. Most of them seem to have been as a result of difficult financial circumstances unfortunately :(
  22. I used parcelmonkey very successfully last week too. They use a variety including dhl and citylink.
  23. is the £1k as well as getting the car back? its not so bad if thats the case as you'll still have a lot of car left to make up the missing value. either way mk2 would be cool but at worst then hopefully you can bump them up as phil says?
  24. you got a ridiculous bargain there and congratulations for buying it with the intention of doing it up rather than breaking it. will be a great car when fixed up. :salute:
  25. my accelerator has stuck open twice in the last 6 months so perhaps the car you should be worried about is a corrado :D it does puzzle me why people are saying brake first when it happens though? (unless you're in an auto of course). if you're on a motorway and you brake in panic you're probably going to cause a massive pile up. just clutch in, stamp on the accelerator a couple of times and it will free up. no-one knows anything's happened apart from the person you're passing who thinks you're a tit for revving your engine as you overtake..
