It boils my blood when people say its sh!t just because its old and when i ask what they do like, its all the same mass produced crap that are all the same but with different badges basically! But at the same time i still get a lot of compliments because it is different and people also realise its a one of design by vw intended as a sports coupe rather than just a golf with slightly wider arches, without mentioning any new vw sports coupes coming out soon :wink: (*waits for pedantic replies saying how i am wrong and the corrado is based on a golf etc :lol:) Lately i have been having a corrado downer (just ask Kev, he's been on the end of my depressed emails :lol: sorry mate!!) as i have recently moved house and the roads are terrible, really bumpy with pot holes everywhere :bad-words: and its really made me think about selling up and getting a modern car that absorbs bumps and doesnt yank the steering out of your hand over every pot hole. But then i look around at these modern cars and yeah they drive nicely and wouldnt feel as bumpy but they are all dull and lifeless (with a few exceptions obviously but not within my price range!). But i know that with a bit of time and money i can get it driving as good as possible and then whack a turbo on it and wipe the floor with all the above mentioned cars :clap: 2 of a kind i think mate, because i couldnt agree more with your response either. There are some modern cars i do like , but i feel the designers are making all their cars look boring/samey. Its like no one wants to be more extravogant with their designs, why not? Lets have something different. Completely the opposite way VW have gone with their MKVI.

VBH is annoying, no offence to those that have taken a fancy, but her whole exaggerated mouth movements drive me up the wall. If 5th gear was like how topgear used to be then id love 5th gear, but i find the journalism of the cars to be a bit pathetic.

i hate it when poeple refer to my VR as old and ****. One lass even said 'whats this sqauare old thing' i told her to walk if she didnt like it. But was is it with people today, unless its brand spanking new and EVERYONE has one, they dont like it. Ok the ST maybe fast, but ive seen more of them on the road then i have Corrados and the Corrado has a 15 year head start. I hate all this band wagon business, everyone seems to like the same things cars, ipods, music. Its good to be different! Dont care if its not that fastest on the road, as Dr_matt said, you dont bump into alot of them. Sorry rant over. :lol:

well changed them over, this weekend and i dont know if its a bit psychological but it seems better on the front handling wise, not so bouncy either(as yet to do the rear). I found that, due to the small spring being ontop the lower spring had been twisting the bellows and the bump stop, both have been damaged! EDIT - reading what kev put earlier, he was advised that the helper springs stay on the top at the front and on the bottom at the rear. I put the helper on the bottom of the fronts and am going to do the rear next weekend. Going to get it all measured up and adjusted too. As i raised the front my 2.5 cm and although it doesnt scrape half as much and is still at a nice height, the rear i think needs raising 1cm or 2.

Yeah im the same, if i need the same colour as VW colour ie the colour of my car id always go to the dealer. Otherwise halfords would be ok.

When i got a touch up pen from halfords for a inca blue rado, i found the touch up pen was darker then the actual colour of the car. Though i wasnt sure if it was ageing paint work or a sh!t colour match by halfords

Dont get teh stuff that freezes the bolt, its sh!t (well didnt work for the bolts i had to get off.)

If its burning oil, i wouldnt be using fully synthetic. Personally i would go for a semi synthetic.

As long as you're mixing semi-synthetic with semi-synthetic, synthetic with synthetic OR mineral with mineral it will be ok. Dont mix mineral with semi-synthetic or fully synthetic. But no doubt you will be using semi of full synthetic oil. Dont think mixing the grades matters so much. EDIT - Beat me too it :D

Your bearings would have been practically collapsed for the ABS sensor to touch the ring. Did you not notice any whir-whir-whir noises round corners?!? Unfortunately you can't detect front bearing wear (by hand / feel) until you've removed the driveshafts / outer CVs....... Hmmmmm.... I replaced both rear bearings after a bit of hassle, I then put the new rotor onto the back of the disc. BUT, when i fitted the disc complete with rotor back onto the car, the rotor was rubbing against the abs sensor and had to take it back off and fit it with out for now. Have i knackered something to cause this?

Infact, youre probably better off putting a cpu cooling fan in your airbox, it would make more of a difference. What were the people thinking that bought this!?

yeah i agree, and you dont get the chavs driving round in them like you did with previous models. But then thats why i cant stand corsa's even the new one, though it IS an improvement.
