Problem with VR6 slightly overheating with rising Oil Pressure
Critical_Mass replied to RW1's topic in Engine Bay
Scary really considering it could have starved the engine. Especially considering you found the problem on the off chance. Glad you found it though mate, there are some cowboys out there! -
 did you point out his mathmatical mistake?

Sorry dude :D Perksy ;)

What controls or affects the air/fuel mixture on a VR?
Critical_Mass replied to martyjmcfly's topic in Engine Bay
I had a auto electrician come round and he just spliced and stuck a spade connection on there. Despite him saying he will return and put a proper connector back on it. t0sser. -
Worst thing some has said about ur Corrado
Critical_Mass replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
I did get the usual, "always wanted one of those" comment today, which to be honest whether that is true or not at least they're not insulting it. Though when i told someone at my new place of work that it as a 2.9 V6, i got the response of "WHY would you want a 2.9" - this was coming from a lad who drives one of those Pug 107 things haha! -
Just found out the coolest think at work, my company will be getting a contract with Mclaren (will be in papers next week apparently), ironically its about data security (spygate  ). WIll be able to get merchendise and cars to our events. I asked about getting a tour of the Tech Centre and was told its a possibility -sure we'll have to deliver a few projects first though. Pesky - i couldnt agree more with what you've said, same with you nlau

You will need a flaring tool alsom, if you're doing them yourself

Replace them, dont sand them and paint them, just replace them! Discussion over.

I get a feeling Massa is just a puppet now, i feel he's making more of the hair pin incident then he would normally be. I wouldnt be suprised if Ferrari are pushing him to moan about it - i could be completely wrong but i wouldnt be suprised if this was the case. I agree, maybe Lewis shouldnt have said what he did in the post race interview. But i do feel he was joking and its been blowing completely out of proportion. Though we ALL should know better when talking to the media on any level, they can turn mole hills into mountains. Lets hope we get a winner other then the German RB driver

Looking forward to this weekends Montreal GP. Should be a belter. I also feel Mclaren can take the win, pref Lewis. But i also think Ferrari wont be far behind. Theres a couple of long straights so Mclaren should be able to take advantage of their top speed compared to teh likes of RB. Same applies to Merc and FI, who also have the Mercedes engines.

The thing is with a CAT1 even if one goes off you cant help but to look at the car. This is attention the theives dont want. Its not about people caring, its about getting attention to the vehicle. Plus when my car is parked outside and the alarm goes off, i have an opportunity to investigate, rather then not be aware and some scroat can take their time in rummaging through my car - not necessarily steal the car. Just my 2p.

Removing White ignition switch from the back of the ignition barrel?
Critical_Mass replied to Peebee's topic in Interior
I ended up just using a hammer and a screwdriver and carefully breaking the old switch then using a cable tie. Just make sure the cable tie is tighten enough or you may find starting the car one day is ratehr difficult. -
Glad you got it sold, but shame youre off.
-
WOW that looks stunning. Loving the colour!

ah, learn something new every day. Cheers!! :D

Danny i believe those viscious rumours are true with a 4wd system. Change all 4 tyres at the same time. Not 100% sure why though.
