Hello all Just got my Mocal oil cooler and have tried fitting it today to my VR this is an arse of a job to get to the water/oil cooler in the first place ! Thing is this kit wont fit unless I get rid of the water/oil cooler join up the water pipes that run into cooler and fit another filter to blank the end the new adapter plate making two filters !! I'm doubt this kit is right for the job !!? Has any body got a pic of an cooler kit? Thanks For the help

I've finally got a 2.8 block to bore out to a 2.9(to keep things cheap  ) Old bottom end knocks when cold from piston slap :( Getting everything lightened and balanced, got alloy flywheel from states coming soon (pics soon) Some head work of my own... Vibratech front mount Already have AMD large bore throttle body and remap. Not after huge power(without N.O.S) but to make things a bit more entertaining  Been after one of these MOCAL Kits for a while now, should keep they oil a bit thicker then the water oil over 120 deg C !!

pablo_vr6, I've got 144000 miles on mine and have used it for over a year, the engine is tired(not from nos! ) and it copes fine with 100bhp shot of the funny gas !! See here >> http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=nos Lots of people use it and love the stuff.....and its easy to see why when you use it. Once it has been set up right (fuelling) you'll love it. Most horror stories you here are from bad fuelling, people fitting them and expecting the jets to be spot on...sadly not

Buy N.O.S save loads of cash get alot more BHP !! :D 8)

I've tried this with a spare Cat ,they are not soft and will not shatter, believe me,unlike fords were you drop them and the guts fall out. I had to gut mine like a fish then weld it back up.

They were not a straight fit on my car,had to modify top mounts but Richie_FSOB, had no problems :| I think thy are a bit to firm for my taste and have gone back to my G-Max spring and damper setup which was fine in the first place  Sold the kit to my mate who loves low hard rides...ive been there and done that and im getting to old (26)

Thanks :D but im keeping them after you said that  I still think white wheels only suite two colures green and Red IMHO

thats the exast spot mine hit when the top bolt snapped !!! Hit it back down smooth it paint it ...... -
What year is your VR? Did they go on fine? I had to drill the top spring platform out to allow the top bearing swivel correctly. If bolted up it would be hard to turn :? Also found knocking from front as springs were being bent like a banana due to helper springs not sitting flat,so I binned them as they were not necessary.... Bit of a chew on but Spot on I did drop it allot..

Ive got a spare engine at work Mike if you want to see a chain broken then the aftermath !! :( Lots and lots of damage...................
-
That's what people don't realize, upper chain tensioners prematurely wear and you don't hear it unless you have a look. :( Bet that went long before 93000 miles Kev ! Just like mine !! stripped it all down and fitted new everything !!!
