Ive had that same problem ...and it turned out to be corroded connection on the fuel pump ,replaced it and its been fine since :D Another mate with s VR6 had same problem and it turned out to be pump :( Get the Fuel pressure checked out..its easy and could solve your problem I agree with kevhaywire that the fuel filter is not at fault. I know the price of bits...I have one  Dealer prices are a rip off(typical insurance quotes)Stupid :? But writing it off might be better,Get paid out ,buy it back then get it repaired alot cheaper ,second hand bits ect... The car its self is not that bad.......LOOK at myne :( http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2224 And that cost me 800 quid ... :D Cheers James -

Puts mine to shame... would really really like to have a shiny one (oooooooer) :D You will just have to get stuck in and use some elbow grease  A lot of elbow grease... James

Ive desided to start on the engine bay What Ya think?? :?: Also going to start to get polished/chromed cover ect.. :D
-
also another way to tell if the clutch is going is.........park,put handbrake on,select 2nd gear and raise the clutch pedal.....if its good it should stall straight away if its bad then it should still keep on running but won't move at all.....remember not to use the throttle at all It must be well f**ked to do that.. James
-
Drive down the road about 30mph in top gear, dip the clutch, give it a good rev ,release the clutch and it should bite straight away to bring revs to normal...but if it continues to rev high the clutch is on way out :( Also clutch judder is also a sign thats its poor... :( Cheers James

Try checking the exhaust it might be out a bit to passanger side, its only on rubber,so they do move about alot :? Cheers James

In the Wet ...say no more mate.. :) You need some wider tyres  James -
It would be best to sort out your engine movment first mate.. As for cables i dont c the need for buying new ones unless the ball ends are worn, but you can adjust them on the gearbox end.. James

Have you had the rear axel bushes checked? They can become very soft with age  Or possible exhaust shifting across and rubbing on body? Just a thought  Cheers James
