If any of you have idle problems due to an idle control valve gone belly up ! Then had to splash out on 100+pounds worth for a new one? :x Well on Volvo 440 square shape any with the Renault 1700 injection engine(and they were fitted to the lot of them in the time) the idle valves are the exact same :wink: There are a lot of these in the scrap yards !! so I got one for 2 quid and its works fine :D Perhaps this thread should include other similar tips :?:

Ive had three Scirocco;s and love em to bits so the natural upgrade was the Corrado they look the similar as well My Scirroco was a better handler too :(

If you don't the fan will stay on all the time,the engine will never get up to temperature especially in winter time !! :x-mas: The fan could burn out being on constantly. For a 2 minute job and the switch costing about 10 pounds ish !! You do the math :wink:

getting seized bolts in an awkward place like that is a time consuming job but shouldn't take all day (depending on skill level) but at the end of the day its got to be done so let him just get on with it then the sooner you will have your C back :D

Replace the fan switch on the rad that should solve the problem :D

Total waist off time ,letting air into your intake on over run !! what bhp and mpg gains will you get out of that? !!!! :? Another cleverly marketed gadget that does F**k all

It was a pain,would not like to it again,head was off at same time 2 and was doing rings and shells so engine was held in with one mount :shock: The engine is so much more responsive and has a crackling sound to the intake noise Just Love it !!!!!!!!!! :twisted:

The top tensioner is oil pressure fed(the big bolt screwed in the back of your chain cover,easily changed 1min max) the lower one is a manual tensioner Top Chain Guides will wear out without you even knowing about it,as for chain slipping and knocking out a tooth ,must be well F**ked

I think we should all chip in buy the poor little C do it back up to stock and give it to a good loving home were it wont be abused anymore :lol:

Hi there Matt Welcome to the Forum 8) The 2.9 Manifold will bolt on to the 2.8 lump but you need to have the throttle body and Switches you might have to alter the T.P.S plug as some do vary in size best way to tell is measure the T.P.S bolt holes across, they should be 1" or 1"1/2 across then it would be easier finding one that would plug straight in. :D As for finding one here probably http://www.E-Bay.co.uk would be the best bet,I would dread to think of the cost to the states :shock: duty fees ect :mad: P.S T.P.S -Throttle positioning sensor

Just Drive the car normally they will bed in fine on there own,giving them a hard time will just glaze over the discs :)

Chris Vr6-n.o.s has a Vortech V9fsq supercharger strapped on his vr6 and it goes like stink !!
