My c has same yellow stuff and im sure its engine laquer, tried hot steam cleaners and all sorts as i work at a garage and this stuff is tough !! But still cant shift it :x had to use paint stripper to get it off manifold :shock: Im no help here sorry :( but if you find a way to remove it i would love to know the acid u use :D Cheers James Rory-where abouts in the north east are u?

Im a mechanic ,so got full workshop to check things over,it did put a dipple in roof next to sunroof due to the impact cos it twisted but came back to shape :D No jigging was needed :D As is said ...well buit cars I need to get my n.o.s bottle refilled to :lol:

I must admit i was using the gas :oops:

Just a bit over ambitious ,well i was going far to fast, back end started to step out ,round-a-bout oncoming very fast ,locked up(abs not working) and BANG :shock: over the round-a-bout and hit barrier :( But it came off not to bad( stong these Vw's) :D Still love these motors :lol:
