  1. If I'm not mistaken John, a VR would take an E-Type, on paper. Not seen it in reality though! :D
  2. You've always had a thing about leather - eh? :ignore: I remember when I could fill my mini-van for a £1!!
  3. Can be moody - just like me! He's a regular int' Flying Pizza on Street lane.
  4. Doesn't look man enough for your bhp Joni! Can't see anything about particulates/exclusion size/airflow etc
  5. Washed down with IRN BRU? :norty:
  6. The difference between a Corrado vr6, G60 or valver can be best explained like this. If Megan Fox ( or any other fit girl for that matter) was one of a set of triplets and they all had slightly different Bra sizes. VR or G60 being one of the biggest sizes and Valver being slightly less. You would probably prefer the one with the bigger boobs but at the end of the day they all still look like Megan Fox and you wouldnt kick any of them out of bed for farting just like the Corrado still looks the same no matter what engine it has. My 2p 8) :gag: Yes but what about Megan's performance?
  7. Thats interesting to know, I'm in the market to buy one of these. Nice one :salute: I picked up a front one on the bay last year for just under £10 - can't recall the markings on it except they were identical to those on the one that came out! Works fine!
  8. Yup! As the man from moneysupermarket.com said ... "You're 'avin a laarrff"!
  9. My original OEM CP from Telefunken [looked like the original 1995 one] became suspect & I replaced with a current OEM CP. I noticed that it was made for VW by BERU and that several guys were advertising BERU kit [claimed to be genuine OEM] on ebay at seriously cheaper prices. BERU have their own website which advises on retail outlets. Worth a punt?
  10. Yes indeed Muppet! Others also have missed the point that we all have a duty of care [towards fellow man, third parties, property etc], particularly in the public arena and especially in hazardous [including illegal] circumstances. In law "Duty of care" extends well beyond HASAWA in which it is explicitly required.
  11. Finished modifying a second hand headlight loom to include a direct earth wire from battery to each lamp socket, male/female spade links to connect the sidelights and the earths on the existing OEM harness to maximise earth availability - might as well for the sake of a few inches of wire + few connectors. See below: Image0055.jpg[/attachment:3bgtlcpv] Now fitted and what a brilliant result!
  12. It's clear that the Judge and 12 good men and true concluded that the guy had a significant influence on and input to the disastrous outcome. They had access to all the facts, we don't. I trust their assessment. Re the issue of semantics - I think anyone who has such a casual regard for others' health and safety is a "total menace", anti-social bar-steward etc. You talk as if the guy was an innocent by-stander! WRT the other criminals - I consider all drug traffickers and purveyors of excess alchohol to be well up there. They are steadily bringing an increasing proportion of us [especially the younger end] to a sensation crazed anarchic state, quite simply as a result of their idleness and/or greed, regardless of the catastrophic effects on their customers' lives, or the law. They are total low-lifes. :pukeright: Before anyone else points out - I do like a glass or two of nice stuff myself - but everything in moderation [including moderation] and certainly off-road!
  13. They screw vertically up into captive nuts in the box beam each side of the bay. There's one each side of the smaller centre bolt which locates/attaches each end of the cross beam. If the centre bolts are in any way suspect, as recomended above, support your engine/gearbox. Best of luck!
  14. Agreed John, 4 years was a bit much. But the guy was a total low-life - inviting his co-director to drive knowing full well that both of them were unfit to drive! ie he and she were a threat to the general public who were anywhere near them on the road. What sort of peeps do we have on the forum who can't see what an anti social moron he is? Costs are costs whatever they mount up to, no fine involved, so far as we can tell.
  15. A bit harsh there Phil :? I trust you're in jest Critical - the guy is clearly a total menace to society - and anyone who can't perceive that needs some education/thought process retraining! Sorry about being so outspoken at full volume - stuff like this just gets to me. :brickwall:
  16. The guy was obviously a total low life, for even thinking of asking someone else, clearly over the limit to drive. :cuckoo: Simply to potentially save his own skin - or was he really thinking of public safety in relative terms?!!!! He obviously also cares a great deal for his wife - NOT! As for the guys on this forum who consider him guiltless - club together and get a brain cell!!!! :cuckoo:
  17. It was - about 30 years ago! The boxes are brill - one for files, one for chisels, scrapers etc...
  18. Possibly, where does the filter actually end up with that setup then? I can't picture where it will end up. All the silicone, MAF and filter are below the inner wing flange, behind the OSF bumper and above the splash guard. The bellmouth on the alloy bend mates with the suction inlet of the V9. V difficult to see unless you're underneath - if you're in Royston anytime you're welcome to have a butchers - she lives over the pit most of the time.
  19. Hi Jon - is this arrangement anyuse to you? It uses short radius 80mm silicon available from an outfit in Cleckheaton.2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfPB161253.JPG[/attachment:3szg50cu] PB161252.JPG[/attachment:3szg50cu] This fits without any mods, save a little enlargement where the carbon cannister used to pass through the inner wing flange.
  20. Can you do larger items eg rear beams?
  21. Furthest thing from my mind Vince - I was interested in whether the charged curves were stock + V9 only, for comparison with my curves for Schrick+Stg1 V9 and Schrick+Stg1 V9+263. Thanks for all the info, which certainly shows a most impressive turbo kit even at Stg1 of development.
  22. I'm not sure if that's what it's actually called, but it pokes into the brake servo and has a long plunger which presumably tells the ABS ecu how much braking force you're applying at the pedal? Gotcha - I'll have a look at mine. Cheers
  23. Wow! What a solid wall of torque! :norty: Very neatly packed bay. :notworthy: Are all three curve sets using standard cams, inlet mani and valves? Is the charger curve from a Vortech-V9 installation? What a package!
  24. Jon_VR6 is in the process of setting up a Rotrex charged LPG [dual fuel] beast, proposing to run at 1 bar IIRC! :notworthy: Tempted?
  25. Looks similar to the cable I had to a boot-loader as John says. It'll save taking carpet up if you just leave it.
