  1. just a rebuild with a few lightened and balanced parts, if anything i am gonna get a bit more compression, i am not going to go forced induction as i have spent ages doing the carbs and hiding the loom so i can have the minimal engine look. power was not at the top of my list. just want a healthy lump.
  2. thats right i have done and have so much planned so why cut the courners here, knowing my luck it would have smoked like a train if i did not rebuild it, taking the shine off the finished car.
  3. hi all pulled the 2.0ltr completly apart today, pistons and crank out ready for a full rebuild and awaiting the delivery of my stage 2 gas flowed head. will get some more pics up soon. dunno how mad to go with the crank knife edge balanced i dunno lets wait and see. oh and need to find a nice engineering firm to make some of my pulleys in aluminium as well. the list is meant to get shorter as time goes by, mine just gets longer.

  7. just flicking through some pics found these, not sure i can remember the car in one piece.
  8. got the car back from the body shop with the engine bay done. it is not smoothed just tidyed up a bit with the scuttle tray removed, battery tray, washer bottle and header tank brackets removed, as well as all the little threaded bits where the loom ties to. also there is a pic of my lightened flywheel (thanks phatvr6) which came with a helix clutch and my magnex system.
  9. cheers. it is back at the same bodyshop. should have it back on saturday so will get some finished pics up. got my magnex system through and just waiting on the arrival of a black carpet.
  10. few pics of the engine bay being done at the body shop. oh and a repair to a small crack on the smooth front bumper
  11. dont forget the interior has to coime out to put the suede in. then we can finally rebuild her after also stripping and rebuilding the engine. umm next week might have been a bit hopeful of me may be another 2 months, then your turn.

  15. yeah was strange but exciting. mine looked a bit sorry for itself as it had 2 space savers and 2 13 inch steels.
  16. My rado going back to the bodyshop, 2nd time in 4 months engine bay this time. had to raise the coilovers right up to get it on there. thanks msh for the photos and hand to load/unload.
  17. done the rocker cover myself, then a company gave it a quick polish while doing the other bit, but i have just brought polishing wheels to start doing my own as well.

    spoke to vince at stealth unfortunatly they dont do this any more. does anyone know what exactly i have to do? i belive i have to machine a woodruff key into the end of the exhaust cam but i am not sure if it matters where i machine it.
  20. hi this is what i have been up to this weekend . retrimmed foot rest . retrimmed fuse box shelf . got 1.8 head ready to use the exhaust cam in my 2.0 . polished rocker cover . polished oil breather. . also got an un cut parcel shelf.
