if its the same as the G60, then yes thats your external temp sensor, and the plastic canister is your Carbon Canister, which I believe is used to reduce emissions (think theres a fuel breather pipe goes into it, and some other stuff...) I've removed mine so I can have a cold air feed pipe to the airbox through the space left by it - theres quite a few threads about this :)

sorry to say I'm not keen... like Phil, I'm more of an all red fan, as when done right they look OEM, however whenever I see the darker top tint (no matter how good a job) I always think its obvious its been tinted.

I'm gonna be bold and its probably for a VR6, but thats just a guess, and it might still fit anyway This is a picture of the Milltek pipe for the G60:

What do these alloys look like on my car ??????????
Shilakadaddy replied to The Hub's topic in Exterior
yeah I wasn't a fan of multispokes either at first, but after looking at the various 5/6 spoke designs for about a year, I think they all look kinda cheap (not all)... something about BBS wheels that makes them look very expensive and high quality Check out http://www.wheelspecs.com/main/index.php for pictures of many many wheels, and if you really like a set, then PM me and I'll try make a realistic photoshop effort :) -
Shouldn't have any issues with MOT.... thats about all I can answer  However the decat you bought looks a bit more bent than the other decat pipes I've seen (all 2 of them) so you may have some fitting issues...

What do these alloys look like on my car ??????????
Shilakadaddy replied to The Hub's topic in Exterior
I have to admit the corrado does seem to be a very difficult car to chose wheels for. I found wheels that I liked (Oettinger RE's), then realised that it would be far too much hassle to get them to fit onto my car... so I've gone for a wheel that I like (BBS RC's), but maybe isn't my perfect wheel, just until I can afford to get my perfect set of wheels... ummmmmmmmmm :D -

if you find wheels you like that aren't on those sites just ask, and someone can easily photoshop them onto your car :) -
the website you posted are the UK suppliers of Oettinger products.. and the only place I've seen that sell those wheels... They don't come in 4 stud tho, only 5... and the smallest wheel is 18" for the RZ's (the top picture), however the RE's (one below) are available in 17". I looked into getting these for my G60 and user hub adapters, however it would seem that using these would cause the wheel to stick out too far, so I gave up and looked for some different wheels.

I might consider something a bit fancy like that with twin inlets... If I ever get a FMIC I'll look into it then (when I get a FMIC I'll know where everything can go at the front of the car, namely the Inter Cooler, Oil Cooler, radiator and charger inlets)... would be rather cool 8)

it'll definately be a supersprint decat.. the rest of the exhaust is supersprint, already fitted when I bought the car, I just didn't realise that it had a decat pipe too (I expected it just to be a pipe without a silencer). Ah well I now have a nice shiney decat and am a little wiser to the mystical world of identifying car parts  My flatmates just bought a decat pipe for his 306, so now I have the responsibility of fitting that... since I know so much about them

Looking at a Corrado G60 at the Weekend
Shilakadaddy replied to M777CUSGTI's topic in General Car Chat
rust  after almost a year of owning my C, rust is starting to come through in various places all over the car... looks like it was resprayed a short time before I bought it, because when I went to look at it the bodywork was immaculate  not quite sure how this helps you as its pretty difficult to know how bad rust is when you go to view a car... I just wanted to rant :) -
 thanks for the sympathy guys! I figured it was either a decat pipe or I'd been sent the wrong thing from John, ah well I've fitted it anyway, gave me something to do So yeah as dr_mat suggested... who wants a Supersprint decat? :)
-
really? I would have thought the original would have been more restrictive... they both look the same when looking through which is why I was confused :? There is a holder for the lambda probe on the decat one, but its on the other side in that picture. Well thanks for the quick reply :) Chris

:( I'm attempting to fit a new milltek decat pipe bought from John (16vG60), and I'm kinda confused.... take a look This is what I've taken off, thinking this was the CAT And this is what I've bought: Now they look the same to me... so what have I taken off? and what have I bought? :( Cheers, Chris

did you block the original hole at the front of the air box? I couldn't decide whether there'd be any point or not, so didn't bother. However on mine this hole is probably less effective than usual as the plastic shield that went from the radiator to the light that directed the air into this hole has been removed to make way for my Oil Cooler... I doubt it would make any difference blocking this, however it does ensure that all the air directed into the air box was coming from my nice ducting, and therefore nice and cold :)

Yesterday I was busy routing a cold air flow pipe from the driver side brake duct up through the Carbon Canister hole into the air box... I started taking pictures while doing it so that I could create a mod guide to put in the Knowledge Base or on my website when I finally get around to revamping it. However once I got to the stage of getting this nice cold air into the air box (namely cutting a hole in the bottom) everything didn't work out how I'd imagined it  ... the difference being that the CC hole isn't directly under the center of the air box as I thought, and therefore a nice sealed perfectly round hole cut in the bottom wasn't going to happen. Instead I just had to cut the corner of teh airbox away to feed the cold air into the box... I was just curious if anyone else had come up with a better way of getting the cold air into the air box (not just using a cone induction kit)? Cheers, Chris

As you saw in the other konigsport thread I used to have some kind of Eibach spring, Koni shocks setup with Eibach ARB's and an OMP strutbrace - however this was on the car when I bought it so I don't know the exact details... I'll try find out more information, I'm sure I'll have receipts for it somewhere. This was an excellent setup in my opinion, the ride was very smooth yet firm, although you could still tell it was a lowered car when on rough roads, and the handling was great, felt very solid and controllable... perhaps could have been a tad less roll for me, but the only reason I changed is because I wanted to make the car lower (it was lowered about 40mm). But it also depends on your application... I never drove my car on a track... although it would appear someone did :? ...and it looks although the cars doing quite well for itself  anyway my point being that I couldn't tell you how this setup did on the track. The new ride with the Konigsports at the same height (still with the Eibach ARB's and OMP strutbrace) isn't as good atm (a bit bouncy)... to be fair I'm sure they need time to settle in and get set up properly, so I will post again when I've found my optimum setting, and done a few more miles on them

Where to find Bonrath Top Mounts or Similar
Shilakadaddy replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Suppliers Forum
Glad I didn't go out and buy some VR6 top mounts for mine now :) If you do find anywhere that sells uprated top mounts let us know, because I'll probably be looking for some soon too :) Cheers, Chris -
is that the one with just a single pipe connected to it? theres one thats actually screwed in, with 2 small philips screws - they're quite fiddley to get out... those really cheap screwdrivers that you get in christmas crackers actually come in handy for this job

FK coilovers group buy - konigsport
Shilakadaddy replied to joebloggsVR69's topic in General Car Chat
I only fitted them yesterday, so as of yet haven't had chance to test them.. it'll be a while before I know how I feel about them. Everyone else seems to rate these, which is why I went for them :) I expect them to be a harder ride than my Eibach / koni setup... but hopefully not by too much 8) -
I thought removing the cat actually gave less torque, and more top end bhp :?

Just paid £600 for a set of Konigsport's for my G60 :( -
Yeah I watched that episode the other day.. and couldn't actually tell if they realised it was just a photoshop or not  Looks like quite a nice corrado under that :)
